They keep the floor and shelves clean and well stoked and easy to move around in. The employees have been friendly but I think they may have been a little short staffed when I visited They have some pretty good prices on many items. I've hesitated to make this review. I hate to make a…read morenegative review, but had I seen something like this prior to going, I may not have made the 20+ minute trip over there. My mom and I were so excited to drive over to King and check out this shop. We brought my daughter and niece as well. Upon entering a worker came to us and gave us the whole run-down. It's a consignment shop, so nothing really to "learn." The conversation was unnecessary. This store only has three rooms total. One with smaller clothes. One with plus size. And one with shoes/bags. There are items super high up, even at 5'9", I would have needed to ask for help to retrieve those items if I wished to purchase them. It was difficult to shop with more than 5 or so people in the store because everyone was constantly on top of each other. The clothes I found that were pretty in my size were brands from Hamricks with prices higher than Hamricks ever dared. I did score three items from the front porch $2 rack and one more item that I had to argue over because it came from a 75% off rack where it rang up 50% off instead. The workers were so scattered. One young lady was trying to focus on one customer at a time while another worker was constantly moving the girls items, messing with stuff, and moving things. It was so chaotic at checkout. From the 15ish minutes we were in the store, it triggered a headache that I couldn't shake the rest of the day. We all got back in the car thankful we came and saw, but unfortunately will not be back. Don't let the nice Facebook posts and videos fool you. This place was chaos!

With my small-scale farming, I have…read morelots of questions about what I am buying and they are extremely knowledgeable and I truly appreciate having a resource like this. The service is great and they are mindful about what plants to recommend planting depending on the time of year and what types of soil to use to help the plants thrive. While they may be lower on inventory than large big-box stores, they only bring in annuals when they should be planted and what they do have is much healthier than what I have found at other stores. With the reduction in number of local garden centers, I definitely recommend making the drive right outside of Old Town area of Winston-Salem.
