Theres really nothing like Junkstock! It's one of the coolest festivals we have in the fall and spring. I took my mom on mothers day weekend and we had a blast just perusing the vendors. 2 hours flew by! We love trying new vendors and new eateries. I finally made it to Junkstock! I'd heard so many great things about this "treasure trove of junk in the middle of nowhere," and while I'm glad I got to check it out, it wasn't quite what I expected. It's more about day drinking and browsing boutique goods and expensive antiques than discovering hidden treasures. The location is literally in the middle of a field, so if it rains, it gets muddy fast. While it was cute, it's not a place I'll attend regularly. A fun experience once (mostly because I got to spend time with my bestie), but for a hardcore thrifter who loves a good deal, it was not the trove of treasures I had imagined. read more

Fun, fun, fun!! there was lots to see and lots to do. I believe we were there for about 3 1/2 hours. You could pretty much get lost in that place. Also had a car show going on at the time if you're into vendors crafts and finding crazy little items everywhere and food this is the place Would do it again. Might wait until the second or third day though we went on the first day and there were lots of people very crowded but they kept the traffic moving pretty good and they kept the parking flowing!! overall great experience!! read more

I had never been to Junkstock, but had been meaning to for a LONG time. My friend and I's schedules finally lined up for us to go. I was amazing walking in by all of the picturesque decor. So many pumpkins and decor related to a train station/travel theme. There were barns filled with local vendors as well as vendors from across the country! Tons of booths offering clothes, decorations, foods, collectibles, records, and so much more! I got a hand-knitted crotchet tank top from Ruby June (rubyju.ne on Instagram) that I am OBSESSED with. I have gotten so many compliments on it! I found a vintage Husker blanket that's reversible. Got some fresh squeezed lemonade. It was so nice to walk around and browse with my friend. So many unique things! Great place to find a special gift for someone or yourself! I did not get a chance to check out the food trucks, but I saw there were lots of options! I cannot wait to go again to Junkstock. It was truly an unforgettable experience! read more

This year Sunday , September 29 , was super crowded and so hot. I believe if you would scatter Canopy's with fans you'd get more people to stay longer and enjoy themselves more. It is nice the venders are close to each other as to keep customers from walking so far. May skip the next few years . Till there is some place to rest out of the sun. read more

Can't believe this was my first time at Junkstock! This is such a cool event and right up my alley with so much vintage and crafts. There are vendors selling in buildings and under tents. There's plenty of food options as well as live entertainment to enjoy. The Bloody Mary was awful and the customer service was LACKING. If I could give the customer service less than 1 star I would. I've been going to junk stock for YEARS and never have encountered that kind of rudeness. I was disappointed today, my experience at JS was altered today due to 1 person serving 1 drink to me. I left and it bothered me till I got home, I have never been treated like that. To the one spot serving the bloody Mary's- Do better. read more

Be careful which vendors you buy stuff from there. We bought a shuffleboard table from a vendor from Junkstock and paid him but he never delivered it. Had to take him to court and won but he still won't pay up. He also has other pending court judgements against him. If you buy something, make sure you don't pay until delivered read more

Twice a year, Junkstock comes to town and it is definitely a place to check out! It is located on an old farm and vendors from all over come and sell their wares. Most of the items are vintage or repurposed products. If you are in need of anything unique, this is the place to go! Not only are there things to buy, but there is also entertainment and food! What can be better than that? Most of the people there who are selling their stuff are friendly, but some are not. I think sometimes, the heat may get to them :) Anyways, I'm a fan. (The kinks have been worked out so disregard any negative comments about parking and waiting on the highway. ) That was a concern at only the first show at their new location Fall 2016. This year we are celebrating our 5th year of Junkstock and over the years we've discovered a few handy things that we thought we would share... Plan plenty of time, Junkstock typically has 150 plus vendors, 15 plus food trucks and all kinds of fabulous bands on the Junkstock Stage playing though out the weekend. You'll want to plan plenty of time so you can take it all in. We are located on an old horse farm just outside of Omaha called Sycamore Farms. You'll want to make sure you wear comfy shoes that you won't mind if they get a little dusty. We are on a farm after all. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time On the JUNKSTOCK web site up until a week or so before the event OR at Simply Bungalow in Lincoln. You can also purchase tickets at the Junkstock gate the day of the event. Money - We recommend that you bring cash but we do have an on-site ATM. Most vendors do take credit cards as well. My wife and friend went to JunkStock this past weekend. It happens twice a year. It's basically a large, outdoor field with vendors local and far, selling their, well, 'junk'. Most of it was pretty cool. there was a vendor that creates furniture, among other things, out of used, old pallets. It actually looked really nice too. Other than that, most of the items from everyone were outrageously priced so my wife and I didn't buy anything this year. It was cool to see them though. The food vendors were good too. VooDoo Taco is great, but $4 for a small taco? Kind of pricey. Overall, I liked last year more than this year. This year, I thought there were too many people and it was hard to look at stuff from the vendors. read more

I really wanted to love Junkstock, but this new location was a HORRIBLE idea. Did they give any concern of people - your customers - ability to get there or was it only your ability to increase your profit margin? Enjoy the miles long line of traffic, either on the highway or the 2 line road thru Waterloo. It was my first time at junkstock, but I enjoyed every second of it. I didn't leave with anything, but it was worth the 8$ to see all the furniture, artwork, and enjoy some 'festival' food. Although I enjoyed interacting with the vendors and looking around, everything seemed to be a bit expensive or even overpriced. For being refurbished pieces of furniture or antiques, I wouldn't truly buy any of the items for what it cost. I was hoping to find some nice little decorative pieces for my house, but simply my budget wouldn't allow it We managed to beat traffic on our way in, not having to be stuck in what looked like a mile long line when we had left. The only thing that was the "bad" was the fact that it had rained and was so muddy they wouldn't let you park, but they were shuttling people from the college and high school back to junk stock. Since I'm from out-of-state it was a little nerve-racking. Also they need to better inform people of a wonderful system That they have of buying any item and they will give you a claim check for it and they will bring it up to a designated pick up spot. That is a wonderful thing for those of us that need a little help. We had a great time except for the mud the food vendors were great and the junk was well worth the trip! read more

oh my god. how do I even describe this? first off, there were far too many people there. you can't even walk through the buildings comfortably without knocking into something or someone. the biggest issue was parking. the actual parking process? fine and dandy. getting out of the parking lot? hell on earth. we sat in our car for over an hour in a line to get out. AN HOUR. AND HOUR SITTING BASICALLY STILL! we moved probably 200 feet the entire time. when we asked a traffic director if we could exit out another way, she told us no. not even five minutes later they were letting people out that exact way. they were letting ten cars in before they would let one out. nothing in that entire "festival" is worth sitting an hour in the parking lot. read more
