After I ordered, he brought me a shot of ouzo. Haven't had this in a while. After the meal, another shot of ouzo found its way to my table. The rump steak was good. It had a garlic butter sauce on top, but otherwise, not as flavorful as I'd prefer. The shining point was the staff. They came to my table several times judt to talk. The free shots were also a bonus. So glad I stopped in tonight. Worth the trip.

Mistakes with orders can happen, and I would never leave a bad review just because something was misunderstood. I was charged and delivered an extra meal that I had never ordered. As soon as I noticed the mistake, I called the restaurant immediately. I was told that the driver would come back to collect the extra meal and refund the money, so I simply waited as instructed. After quite a long time, I called again because nobody had arrived yet. Instead of receiving an apology, I had to explain the situation all over again. When a young employee and a man (maybe her husband or boyfriend) finally came to my door, the man immediately tried to blame me for the situation. He repeatedly claimed that I had waited two hours before calling and told me that "next time" I should call earlier. That was simply not true. I had called as soon as I had discovered the mistake and had only waited because I had been told that someone would come to collect the extra meal. Everyone can make mistakes, and I understand that. What disappointed me was not the original mistake, but the complete lack of an apology and the attempt to shift the responsibility onto the customer instead of acknowledging what had happened. This was the second chance I gave this restaurant. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be ordering from them again.

My vegan friend is often challenged finding food and this evening was no different. They also delivered the wrong dish to me. I found this interesting since we ordered by number. They made good and brought me some separate lamb chops later. Sadly the chops weren't what I hoped for, a bit thin and lacking the hoped for flavor. The rest of the meal was fine with way too much on the plate. They offered more ouzo at the end as a form of further compensation but I declined. Like many places in Weiden they were busy with holiday parties and those coming in from the Christkindlmarkt. Plan accordingly. Finally, the host doesn't care for credit cards as they have to pay a substantial fee. They will take them but better with cash for larger groups. A 3.5 rounds to an over generous 4.

Things went a little squirrely at the end of the meal when I needed to pay with a credit card.
