The ice cream was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised by mango flavor. I think what I liked the most about it was that it wasn't super rich and that helped quench my thirst. I was dissapoined the establishment does not have public restrooms. Actually most the business in the area are the same way. After spending the day out on the boat fishing I was looking for a nice place to use the bathroom and rest for a little bit.

Cindy was very friendly and even provided a custom, signed photo of me and my friend upon docking at the Port of Ilwaca after our ocean/bay/river voyage. Toys, trinkets, key chains, stuffed animals,…read moregames, refrigerator magnets, collectible shot glasses, sunglasses, some neat old-time lunch boxes, and many items that say "Long Beach, WA" on them, the best kind of souvenir. We've been in the store a couple times over the years looking for tie-die t-shirts and hoodies, of which they usually have a great selection. The day we went "finding," we didn't see a single adult size tie-die t-shirt in the whole store (we searched the whole town that day, actually) so will have to try again at some point. The real draw, in my opinion, is the selection of kites. Really good quality too. The nearby beach is the perfect place to fly them too. We usually visit tourist beach towns like Long Beach mid-week when kids are still in school so we've never had an issue with spotty customer service. So many complaints from other Yelpers makes me think you reap what you sow. Many people come in with kids making noise and running all over the place, touching everything, etc. If I were a shop owner or worker I'd get a tad perturbed too. Just saying. Will definitely be going back to Stormin Norman's next time we're in town. ZOLTAR even meets you at the door and can tell your personal fortune for a small fee.

At the end of the Westport pier, you'll find a claustrophobic cave of treasures, ranging from clothes and apparel, jewelry, souvenirs, shells, stones, toys, magnets, home décor, books, games, puzzles, glassworks, and a lot more, stuffed into every corner, nook and cranny, hanging from the ceiling or dangling from the walls, almost all of it nautical, piratical (is that a word? it should be!) or (Pacific) northwestical in nature. This is the gift shop to end all gift shops; the Tamatebako; the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...or, at the very least, at the end of the dock. So, take a short walk down a long pier (wait...scratch that, reverse it!) and check out what the basket cases at Basket House have for sale!
