The salon is really well places on Norton High Street, with plenty of free parking within walking distance. The salon is set over two floors; cutting and styling downstairs and colouring upstairs. The staff were so friendly; they really couldn't do enough for you. As soon as I sat down i was given a full consultation, and shown various colours for my hair, as well as asked about the cut I wanted. They even have a little coffee menu; the coffee was included in the price. I was even asked if I'd like an Indian Head Massage! They had all the best products in stock, i.e. Tigi, and you could but these products downstairs. I will definitely be using this salon again; my hair looked lovely when they'd finished with it and the service was second to none. I'm guessing that it's quite expensive; my friend paid for my hairdo so I'm not sure how much it cost! However i have never had such excellent service anywhere else and my hair has never looked so good so it would be worth the price!

The hairdresser wasnt rude but very quiet and although several people around me drank coffee i was never offered a drink. My hair cut wasn't what iexpected it to be and i was left quite upset as my hair was now very high maintenace and full of layers aftyer id asked not to have these. Bad service really.

Whilst I was waiting there was a lady having her hair coloured. The young girl(a trainee I assume?) stood in front of me and offered the lady a coffee, made her one then went upstairs in the shop, totally ignoring me. The coffee isn't the issue but to have even been asked would have been nice. The cost of that cup of coffee will mean I'll likely not return. I ran pubs, bars and hotels for years and know the impact small things like this have on customers. Made me feel like my custom wasn't very important and the amount of money you spend decides wether or not you deserve a drink while you wait. Not a great first impression on me I have to say. As I said though, the haircut itself, and the stylist, I'd have no complaint about at all but the fact that you are 'very proud of the welcoming atmosphere' and the 'friendly team', I'd say some staff training in basic customer service may be a worthwhile investment.

The first was fine but the artist went ti smoke afterwards and left the tattoo unwrapped and dripping with blood for over 15 minutes and still didn't wrap it on returning. She then rushed my second tattoo resulting in very wobbly lines and a tattoo that doesn't really look professional so I'm going elsewhere to get it fixed. The artist also used dry paper towel to wipe the needle between colours and I witnessed her picking bits of stuck paper towel from the needle while she was doing my tattoo. I emailed the shop to complain about this and explained I would like a refund or at least some of my money back towards getting the tattoos fixed but they have chosen to ignore me. I would never visit this shop ever again. The experience was horrible.

The shop itself is also very clean and has a hygiene certificate for both tattooists and piercers, and rightly so. I myself have not been in for a tattoo but there are pictures all over the walls and some look pretty amazing. Also, not being a tattoo kinda person, I'm not really sure if its cheap or not (prices ranging from £10 for a letter to over £500+ for the huge ones that cover pretty much the whole of your body). Piercings on the other hand are very cheap. £7 for ears, £15 for the likes of tongue, lip, nipple etc. I find that other places will charge you about £20 just for getting your ear pierced! Overall would definitely recommend this place for piercings, but as I said, I wouldn't know about tattoos so you would have to go check it out.

Yes, yes, yes, yes!…read more I got my third tattoo here, and it's where I plan to get my next bigg'un, Alexandra and Violet are lovely to boot, and both seriously know their stuff, head up the stairs through the doors into the delightfully gothic little studio, purple and sterile, smells clean without overpowering chemical smells. Slideshows of past work and designs flicking around on the screens, with a playlist that echoes the impeccable alternative tastes of the owners. Alexandra is the resident inker, and Violet the piercer, they both know their stuff, Alex having done quite an extensive art history degree to back up her drawings. I wanted a small piece to commemorate getting through a stint of ill health and operations, getting a dot work acorn on my ankle, the dot work here in particular is divine, but alex can lend herself to so so many styles. No issues, no bleeding out, and healed like an absolute dream, still clear and lovely months on, definitely no putting the ink in the wrong depths here. I'm yet to have a piercing here, mostly because I keep wimping out of one i've been considering for some time, but I know a lot of people with ink and piercings from here, never mind the two instagram accounts you can follow, and I have never seen a problem. They've been quick to help properly on coverups and ill-done piercings from other places too. They also sell high end high quality body jewellery such as anatometal, industrial strength etc and decent natural healing stuff like hustler butter. Go here, book here, get it done!

Located in the…read morecentre of Darlington it is easily accessed by public transport and there is parking minutes away above Wilkinsons or outside JJB sports. This shop is always busy but you can usually get squeezed in but it is worth booking ahead on evenings or weekends. As well as acyrilc and gel nail, they do pedicures and nail art and there is a special rate for young ones to have nails done. I have had false nails from here but most of the time I just let them spray the tips onto my own nails for a smarten up for £5. Staff are efficient and super quick.
