Well I've finally decided to get in the Yelp game... When I first saw the signage announcing that Just Salad was coming to Park Slope, I was immediately excited. I had just started getting make-your-own salads at work, and I was enamored with the idea of eating two salads a day. I was a "Hale and Hearty Soups" man at work, so I was interested to see what Just Salad brought to the table. I visited this Just Salad the day it opened and have been a frequent customer ever since. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. I'm a big fan of the fact that they have arugula and let you mix lettuces. They have a ton of good meat/fish and dressing options. Also, the reusable bowl is a great idea and good deal. The staff is the friendliest in the slope, almost all of them know me by name and they are all great at throwing together a salad. My only complaint is that the cherry tomatoes are hit or miss, but they may have more to do with them being in season. I wholeheartedly recommend Just Salad! read more

Cheap salad but very expensive. Worst customer service of the entire universe. They charged me for more stuff and didn't get it in the salad. Then they even refuse to show me the receive. I feel like the quality of this location used to be better. I went at least once per week after it opened. Lately though, I visit less than once per month. All the recent reviews say it all, this restaurant has really lost its way. Avoid it! It's a shame because - if you ever get your food in a reasonable amount of time and if your order is accurate (both highly unlikely) - it will actually be a decent meal. But you simply can't trust this restaurant to do the basics right. My wife and I used to order online from them frequently but, in the last 5 orders (yes, we used to like them), ONLY 1 has been correct. For one, I called 2 hours after the order and they didn't know where it was. For another, they delivered it to the wrong apartment building! I usually always order delivery, but today I actually came in to order my salad. They have about three or four indoor tables and two outdoor ones. It did not take long to make the salad. Salads are around$ 9+ and wraps$ 8+, though pricey the portions for the salads are good and the ingredients are fresh. I ordered the California, when I order it for delivery at my job it always takes a while and is missing ingredients, but today everything was just fine. Food is terrific, but really annoying that its clearly best to do a mobile pick up order here rather than order in person. Online orders seem to be the priority to the staff. I watched for ten minutes as around 12 employees diligently and hurriedly prepared salads while ignoring the in-person patrons standing in a line that extended to the door. Managers should have staffed for both and also directed the flow better. When I mentioned it to a manager in a navy shirt, she kept looking down at her receipts the entire time, didn't utter a word back to me, and just told an employee to help me. I've only been here once, but I will say the staff is excellent. All of them were polite and fast, but Sheena, who served me, was inviting and helpful, giving me clear explanations of my options, a sample of the dressing so I could decide if it was spicy, and super quick and professional service. Corey on the register was great, too. There was quite a volume of people coming in (this location is right across from a hosipital and it was lunch time), but the team remained both friendly and efficient. I was really sorry there was not a tip jar so I could give them a gratuity! The Thai chicken crunch salad was a good portion, tasty, and very fresh. It wasn't super exciting, and I'd rather the chicken pieces were bigger, but the veggies were nice and crisp. I do like that they offer the dressings in light, medium, lots or on the side. It would be nice if they had pamplets or a chart listing nutrition like fats, protein, carbs and sugars of the food, not just total calories, as a lot of people choose salad for health reasons. The atmosphere was okay, mostly white and stark, and a little bit unclean looking on the tables, probably because it was busy. I got my food to go, and wouldn't consider it a place to linger, but I'd hang out there for a quick bite or if it the weather wasn't nice enough to eat outside. Overall closer to a 3 or 3.5 for food and decor, but the service makes it worth it. I would definitely return to get a healthy lunch. read more

Staff was friendly and I want to like this place, but I just can't justify going back after the meal I just had. I ordered Crunchy Avocado Toast for nearly $10 after tax. It was served on two pieces of toast that had likely been sitting out for hours. The bread was hard and stale, and a challenge to eat. The crispy onions tastes like funions that I ate as a child; there was nothing healthy about that at all. I was a little skeptical of ordering from here because there were so many mixed reviews but I'm glad I went for it. I ordered the Buffalo chicken salad and added roasted broccoli with the smoky ranch dressing and my fiance got a classic chicken ceasar salad. We ordered through grubhub so I can't speak on any odd odors or unfriendly staff but our order arrived on time and it was accurate and arrived in the estimated time provided to us. The ingredients were fresh and very tasty. The buffalo salad topped with the smoky ranch was a bit spicy for me but still had lots of good flavor. I was super impressed with the food here. I mostly stopped here because it was late afternoon and I saw that they have a 3-6pm half price smoothie happy hour everyday - only $3.50 or so, can't beat that! Smoothie was great, they don't have a lot of fancy ingredient options, but the server who made it was super nice about substitutions and getting it right for me. I also got a vegetarian wrap, which was substantial for the price and had a nice mix of non-meat proteins. I am often disappointed in vegetarian sandwiches, but this was very satisfying.
