When this Just Salad location opened, I loved them! I don't live locally but when driving through the area once or twice each week I'd do a mobile order for a build your own salad and it was always a good experience. As time went on, I started noticing that my salads were missing ingredients, overall I still enjoyed my salad and continued to go (they were still fairly new and I figured I'd be patient while new staff were training etc..) A few more orders in and the forgotten items were starting to become more frequent and frustrating. They were usually packed and while picking up an order I didn't have time to wait to speak to someone about my past experiences. I tried to reach out but couldn't find a phone number or contact info for this store. After ordering a salad that came with absolutely no lettuce, I e mailed them explaining the situation and that I'd like to hear back but never heard back. I stopped going to Just Salad at this point. I couldn't continue to pay for items that I wasn't receiving and honestly my salads weren't tasting so great when certain things were missing. Fast forward to today, they've been open for a while and I was going to be driving through the area so I thought I'd give them another chance. This was a mistake. I ordered butterhead lettuce and super greens (kale spinach and cabbage) but received a small amount of romaine and that's it (trying to avoid romaine lettuce while pregnant so this was disappointing). Several of the add ins, including the onions and avocados, are missing. I ordered crispy chicken and there are two single chunks of chicken in the entire salad. What they did not forget to add was the edamame, which I'm thankful for but it seemed like half of the bowl was full of edamame, I like edamame but this is a bizarre amount. Due to the missing items, the salad tastes quite bland - it's not good! Part of why I like the build your own option is that I can cater to specific dietary needs: I have gestational diabetes, healthy fat and protein are important parts of my meals: with the avocado missing and only 2 small bite size pieces of chicken, this "meal" wasn't working out .. I was upset that once again I paid so much for a salad and really did not get what I ordered. I called guest relations and waited on hold for quite some time. I requested a refund. The person who answered my call asked if i wanted to have the salad re made (I live a half hour away so that wasn't an option) or if I wanted a coupon (honestly, I don't want a coupon because I don't want to go back). I explained this, re stated that I'd like a refund, and the person on the other end hesitated to refund me because she said, "Well you did get SOME of what you ordered." I guess technically that's true but this seemed like really bad customer service. I did not get what I ordered and had to find an alternative lunch due to missing items. Is this how just salad does business? I don't have any desire to go back to this location and after dealing with their guest services, I certainly won't try out their other locations. It's a shame, they have a potentially fantastic product. I really loved my salads in the beginning when they actually included what I ordered and paid for. It's also unfortunate that I can't reach out to the individual location. I wish I could've called to speak to a manager at this store about my consistently unfavorable experiences. I was a customer today at Jus Salads in the Fairfield location & my experience is always good... Today I watch the manager Leyla harass a staff member & think it was very unprofessional. The girl with the short hair was working & Leyla pulled her to side twice & she followed & was respectful to talk to her. Leyla ask to speak wit her again & she kindly said No , we spoke already she working & don't want to speak about the situation again. I watch your manager Leyla harass the young lady to sign a paper until she finally ask her to leave. The young lady left which I thought that was not a good excuse. Everytime I come there the young lady always greets me with the biggest smile & respect she makes sure all items are there with a bag & utensils. I ordered three salads and soup today from the Fairfield, CT location. Jasean was my server/salad maker who got the orders perfectly straight as it got a little complicated with substitutions and added extras! The salads were huge, delicious and nutritious. I'll definitely be going back to try more salad combinations! read more

I've ordered 3x for pick up and every time the order is missing items. when you call customer service to get a refund for the missing item, something I only did once when the item was not just a side, you get a very unconcerned customer service rep who told me to drive back to the restaurant. read more

Have been to the new Just Salad twice already in one week. The ingredients are super fresh and there's a great selection. I found the menu a bit confusing, but the staff was so helpful. Shout out to Sergio and Mel for excellent customer service. I'll definitely be back frequently! read more

I went the first week it opened, so it wasn't running so smoothly. Another review said no one behind the counter looked up, so he left. I had the same experience, but I waited. Everyone behind the counter was preparing salads and seemed to be heavily concentrated on doing that. It was the first week, and those salads are complex, particularly when you need to make additions or subtractions based on customer specifications. Once someone was done, he came right over, took my order, and was very friendly. The manager was also taking orders and was very friendly. I can't remember which salad I got, but it was delicious. It was fresh and my experience in the restaurant was a pleasant one. It took a while, but again, it was the first week, and I understand that it takes more time than that to truly get into a rhythm. I will definitely be back and am happy to have a salad restaurant on Black Rock Turnpike. read more
