Amazing selection of rackets, shoes, bags, and more
    Benjamin W.

A wonderful experience from entering the store to making my purchase. My wife is an entry level tennis player and the store owner referred us to the previous years model for a great value which was substantially less than the newer model. I will be coming back here for all my tennis needs. Great selection on shoes, bags, pickleball, and other accessories. Ask for Anna, she knows her stuff.

So comfortable and these new tennis shoes might be worn more than on the court

What a great experience today at this little tennis shop in Scrips Ranch. The tennis shop I used to go to , to get my rackets- Restrung, moved and went semi out of business, so I found me a new tennis shop . very delightful and great customer service! got two rackets restrung and I couldn't help it, but I bought me a new pair of shoes.

Friendly service and an impressive amount of tennis bags / backpacks (so many!) and other racquet sport items. Future happy customer.

Great service and the turnaround time is amazing. I ordered online and the racquets arrived the next day strung.

They reconditioned it by wiping it down with rubbing alcohol, put new leather grip, restrung it, and put new grommets on!..

10/10 amazing experience!…read more We've completed a few lessons (intro, novice, doubles) all with Coach Yael and couldn't be more happy with what we're learning, how she teaches and also how good we're getting. She makes the sessions so fun even when you mess up and reminds people it's not that serious. It takes away from the pressure of learning all the rules. She's able to adapt her style to teach people of all ages and physical agilities. She provides the paddles for the first classes and after you take one session, you'll likely want to get your own paddle and she does offer suggestions. I've already recommended a few of my friends to take her courses so we can play in the leagues together. I know there's a bunch of leagues out there but I wouldn't want to play on any others after learning with Coach Yael. In terms of parking, the courts are at Mission Bay resort so leave yourself enough time in case street parking is busy from the beach goers. Also, make sure to wear sunscreen and bring water with you to classes since it can get hot depending on the month and time of day. No complaints other than I'd love more available classes from her and have them be closer to Chula Vista.

She is a wonderful teacher who transmits the love of the game through her teaching and is also fun to be around. That was a year and a half ago and it got me hooked and I've been coming back for more ever since, that includes clinics, leagues, events and open plays. Open play is a good price at $8/hr for 4 hours and lots of folks tend to stay the whole time, fitting in lots of game play on the 8 open courts. Mostly everyone I've encountered has been pickleball-loving, fun-loving people who have really helped elevate my game. Lastly, they recently resurfaced the courts so there are now permanent pickleball lines with a nice "new" feeling. It's at Mission Bay so expect some breezes and parking is mostly on the street and in the small parking lots by the tennis courts. Highly recommend and hope to see you on the courts!

The courts are always clean and well kept, which makes a big difference when you're still learning and just trying not to trip over your own feet. I also really like that you can reserve your time. No awkward hovering, no pressure, just show up and play. We noticed they offer coaching too, which we're really excited about. Definitely planning to sign up for some classes and level up our game. If you're new to the sport or just looking for solid courts with a great setup, this is a great spot.

First time playing at The Hub, and it will definitely be our last…read more When we arrived, we let staff know it was our first visit and signed the required paperwork. However, nobody explained how the facility was laid out or how open play was supposed to work. We eventually found the courts for our skill level, but there was nobody there at 8:30am on a Saturday. Thankfully, a friendly couple on another court invited us to play a few games while we waited for more players to arrive. Once people started showing up, we put our paddles up in the queue to join the next game. Both courts were occupied, and when the first group of four finished, we stepped up expecting to rotate in. Instead, they looked annoyed that we wanted to play and acted like they were leaving. We said "no worries" to avoid any conflict, but after standing around with the court empty for five minutes, all four of them casually walked back on and played another game themselves. We let it go and waited for the second court to finish. When that game ended, the same thing happened again--they immediately started another game despite there being four paddles waiting in the queue. At that point, we left to find games elsewhere. When we came back, four paddles were literally leaned against the net to "reserve" the court. We asked if we could join and were told, "We don't really want to split up." I pointed out that this was supposed to be open play, and the response was basically, "Yeah, kind of." That sums up the problem with this place. There were no moderators, no enforcement of open-play rules, and apparently no expectation that players actually rotate in. A handful of regulars were able to hog the courts while everyone else waited around. If this is what The Hub calls open play, then open play doesn't actually exist here. Extremely disappointing experience, poorly managed, and not somewhere we'll ever return.

Located near Costco on Morena, King of Padel only has 4 pickleball courts but there are also some courts for padel ball. We snagged Court 9, which is located in another part of the building with Court 10. Thankful that we ended up finding a spot to play but these courts aren't the best. There's not much room to back up and we would often run into the walls or accidentally hit the walls when serving. Also, you can't really lob the ball because of how low the ceiling fan is. There's also no clock in the room so make sure you keep track of your reservation! The total cost ended up being $20 for an hour on Sunday morning. Despite some of the downsides of the indoor courts, the price for the entire hour wasn't bad at all. It's a great alternative if you really can't find anything else in the area.

We called in and they said a court was available so we drove over! - PARKING - Pretty tight spots but there's a decent amount of parking all along the back. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - You can play padel ball or pickleball here. It costed us $20/hr to rent a court out. Not all the courts are equal - 9 and 10 are inside an extended room and there's not much space to back up in. Looks like other players had the same issue, as we came in seeing a large hole in the wall! They have several side tables where you can place your things and sit down. - EXPERIENCE - I will say everything seems very organized, and well kept, cleanliness wise. $20/hr isn't half bad for indoor courts. - OVERALL - This place will be on our list if we ever run out of available courts or if it rains again!
