My wife and I had been harassed and threatened physically many times over several months by a man who owned property next to us. We finally proceeded with a restraining order. When it was time for the legal hearing in court, Mr. Haynes was late for the hearing and didn't show up with all the paper work necessary for the trial. He allowed the neighbor to lie under oath and would not object when I told Mr. Haynes he was lying. Later, I found out another neighbor obtained a restraining order on the same man after he had assaulted him at Walmart. Mr. Haynes didn't do enough research to know that a previous restraining order had been issued for our neighbor. This fact should have been include in our trial, but it wasn't. For these reasons, we will never use Douglas Haynes as a lawyer again and I suggest you reconsider if you are considering hiring him.
