I was charged 20 quid a door and as i live in Torfaen, they picked them up and dropped them off for 30 bucks!! They have recently united forces, hence the deliberation around the name, but between them they have 30 years of experience under their belt making new and restoring old fine wood crafted items (anything considered as long as its tasteful). Sam and Will have found themselves working together on jobs for years, and grew to understand that both of them share the same exacting standards that it takes to out-perform the competition. In the end they decided they might as well join forces officially, allowing them to cut down on the administrative burdens of being lone operators, so that they can spend more doing what they love, (and are eminently better at!) They have been trying to figure out what to call themselves for a while, but have been kept busy with contracts that have found them without much effort the moment they hooked up together. Sam said half jokingly, but partly seriously, that they have discussed calling themselves OCD Carpentry. I think this is a great idea, and I said so. Sam looked perplexed, "yeah, but it's not very politically correct is it?" I disagreed, and explained that I thought it was a more than appropriate label for the standard of work that they achieve. I also added that people will realise that they are not bodge jobbers, who work on the cheap and knock something out for half the price, that only lasts a fraction of the time that their work lasts for... and this can only be a good thing... it'll save everyone the time potentially wasted in discussing mismatched objectives. These boys take their time, do a perfect job, and charge the right price for it... and they will not compromise their integrity by lowering their standards in an attempt to keep costs down, as they know better than anybody that, in reality, this is false economy. Not everyone can afford their services, and so a name like OCD would help find them the right client base without too much wasted time!

Although I…read morehave not had any work done by this company, I rang and made an appointment with Dexter to come and give me a quotation on my flat to have all the windows replaced. We arranged to meet at 12 o'clock and I said I will be there in my lunch hour between 12 and 1pm as the flat is vacant. At 12.40 I rang to see if anybody was coming. The gentleman I spoke to said he could see that I was on the board for 12 o'clock. I then said it's nearly 12:45 is anybody coming? I was told that they were very busy and he didn't like the tone of my voice. So, I asked to speak to Dexter. Dexter came on the phone and said to me that I should have phoned earlier rather than leaving it 45 minutes, I stated that I shouldn't be reminding you to keep an appointment. This he did not like and told me it wasn't an appointment it was for an estimate. I reminded him that it was for a quotation and that I stated that I would give him the business if the price was okay there and then. He then proceeded to argue with me that it was not an appointment, this went on. To me it's all the same, if they are coming to give me a price to get the business, then it's an appointment. At the end of the day, I asked when can you come and the earliest they would be able to arrive was 1:20 I reminded him I was in my lunch hour and had to go back to work and this was not convenient. Once again he didn't like my tone and could not accept that the issue was from their side and not mine. I would like to remind Dexter that I am the customer and I was looking to spend thousands of pounds with him, all I wanted was for them to turn up give me a price and agree the deal. I understand it's not a perfect world and things go wrong or you can become overwhelmed with too many customers or pressure from work. All it would have taken was a phone call to say I'm running late and I would have happily waited for as long as it took. But to turn it round and argue with me that I should have rung them because they didn't turn up and then argue with me whether it is an appointment or not is unbelievable. So in my honest opinion, due to the attitude I received and the subsequent texts received I would have to say to anyone "Stay away from this company"

The backbone of my case was to prove that they had installed a product that was not fit for purpose or of a merchantable quality. Not only were all of the windows catching but the openings had chipped corners. I also had draughty doors which didn't operate smoothly and the kitchen door frame was now loose because of all the adjustments. Also they are very rude when you contact them and ask them to rectify their problems and they say that it was your fault and not theirs! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
