Originally, I had wanted a large poinsettia, but out of stock. I told her how much I wanted to pay $$$.00 and she said that will make a very nice arrangement. I'm thinking the coffee pot vase must have been pricey because the flowers used and size of arrangement would not have cost as much as I paid. Nine days later it still looks fresh and snowman looks cute, but that is not even close to what I expected in size and design for this event. Disappointed Aunt.

I called on Thursday 9/4 to confirm what time I could pick up the flowers on Friday 9/5, the agreed upon date. When they returned my call at 5:15pm on 9/4, they told me they never placed the order for my flowers, seemed to have no recollection of my order, and told me flat out they could not get my flowers until after my wedding date. They confirmed they did have the paperwork for my order and they still had my emails, but they never marked down the date that the order was needed by. The person on the phone was not apologetic and did not offer any solutions whatsoever. In fact the exact words were, "I don't know what to tell you." We scrambled all night trying to find a shop that was even open and could get the white calla lilies we were hoping for in less than 24 hours. It was a true nightmare situation. We received more sympathy and help from shops we had never spoken to before than the shop who put us in this situation in the first place.

He sold his entire stock of daylilies to Robert Blew one of the owners of Centerton Nursery. They had to relocated the entire stock of HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of daylilies to their nursery, and as a result, currently Woodside is not open to the public and is only mail-order. Their intention is to eventually reopen in their new location to the public. I'm on their mailing list and will be first in line when they send out the notice of their re-opening. Woodside's stock of daylilies is one of the best in the country. Dr. App's bred incredibly beautiful cultivars of daylilies. Almost all the daylilies in my collection are from Woodside. Prior to the closing of the original Woodside location, each year I took an increasingly large group of friends with me there and got them all hooked on Dr. App's plants too. We were very lucky to have a breeder of Dr. App's caliber in this area. Highly recommend daylily collectors and avid gardeners check out Wayside.

When I called to place the order, I asked if the limited options on their website were the only thing available. They advised it wasn't and that they customize the basket to my needs. They asked for my budget , which I advised was $85 total. I was expecting FRESH locally grown fruit an associate of GOURMET crackers, jams, cheese, etc. I also asked that they email me a receipt as I had just paid by giving them my card over the phone. These are all the reasons why you should not do business with this florist and spend your money elsewhere. Although I told them I only wanted to spend $85.00 total, they collected more than $100 from my card, and I never was emailed the receipt I requested. On the day of my family members' birthday, I called the florist shop to inquire what time the delivery would be made. I was informed it would be around 3 PM because they were waiting for FRESH fruit to arrive. I called back after 3 PM and was met with a rude, condescending tone and poor customer service. They didn't want to confirm when the basket would be delivered. When I immediately shared the dissatisfaction of the customer service, I was met with "sorry you feel that way" and a slick undertone. In short, my order was delivered around 5 PM on a Friday. My family member was so excited to receive the gift from me and overjoyed at the thought and the deceiving appearance of this "gourmet." When she opened the basket the next morning, we were filled with disgust, disappointment, and felt like we had been robbed. The basket was filled with rotten, molded fruit that looked like it had been pulled from a local dumpster. The container that the strawberries were in was so aged the label was barely visible anymore. It came with a bag of prepackaged almonds that were already opened and a goldfish cracker. There is nothing gourmet about goldfish crackers that's a childrens snack. I sent the owner photos within 24 hours of getting the basket and called several times. No response back!
