I really enjoyed this place - it's open 24/7 and is no frills cafeteria style with a considerable language barrier with the staff. They have a relatively small menu but it is translated into English. It's traditional Czech cuisine. They also have a few prepackaged salads and beer. When I was there they were out of Pilsner Urquell and only had Kozel. Surprisingly (for how old school the place is) they do take card.
I had chicken with mashed potatoes and really enjoyed it. The chicken was incredibly moist and well-cooked, and the mashed potatoes were tasty. The beer was poured well and was a refreshing accompaniment to the meal. I also had a cucumber salad on the side which was basically just cucumber slices in a very mild "brine" if you can even call it that. Pretty unexciting side dish but for 40 ck I can't complain. Prices for everything are unbeatable, haven't had another meal this cheap in Prague.
Toilet was a little gross, the seating area is bare bones, and as expected there's no WiFi or anything. But again for the prices you can't ask for much.
Would definitely return here. read more
