On top of, or should I say below, all the kitchen supplies they have an arts and crafts section in their basement. I could spend an hour in this place easily. This is also were I was first introduced to a raclette, which you should google immediately if you don't know about them. They are the most amazing cheese cooking apparatus ever!

You literally have to figure out what the pieces are based on number of holes and screw size. I'm used to pieces of furniture and screws being labeled with letters/stickers. See the instructions for one desk that I bought? They are literally on the side of the box, hard to decipher and faded, with almost nothing labeled. At least other furniture stores put effort in their instructions.

Enter and prepare to be amazed: you'll find dishware, cutlery, kitchen knives, copper and stainless steel pots and pans, lots of specialist tools for cooking and food preparation, design items, in short: everything you could possibly need for your kitchen--plus some stuff you'd never dreamt of but that might just prove useful. Anything they don't have in stock they will order. You'll even find some exquisite (and rather pricy) items here, like Saint Louis glassware, Meißen porcelaine, Hummel figurines and Rosenthal collector's plates. You should take your time when you come here; there's much to see and even more to learn. Muhlkes are very friendly people; they answer questions thoroughly and find solutions for almost any kitchen problem. Herr Muhlke sen. is fluent in French and his English is not bad, either. Muhlke's is not the cheapest household supply store in Saarbrücken, but easily the best-stocked, and what's more, you'll get real expert advice.
