As a company, when you get an upset customer, you apologize and try to make the situation right. My husband complained about the service; they were unapologetic, and the only consolation they offered was not charging us overtime for arriving to our reception a half hour after planned. (Yes, if you read the previous paragraph, you'll realize the reason why we were late was because their driver.) After our honeymoon, my husband and I began writing reviews for our wedding vendors. He gave them a poor rating on WeddingWire and Yelp. Shortly after, they called him, asking him to take down the review, saying they would charge us the $250 in overtime. He did not take it down, and later that day saw the $250 charge on the card. I work in public relations/marketing, and I have NEVER seen a more unethical social media strategy. Blackmailing your unhappy customers to pipe down is a new low. Thus, I feel a responsibility to share this story wherever I can to warn other couples. My now husband and I paid all vendors and services in advance specifically to avoid any stress or payment issues on the day of and yet, exactly what we were trying to avoid happened. While I was taking last-minute pictures before the ceremony, my bridal party tried to board the bus and were not allowed in. Then, the driver started asking my friends and family for money. People were calling my husband, who was already waiting for me at the church, while this chaos unfolded. Eventually, they came to get me, and while I was showing my phone to prove payment, my friends and family kept offering money as if I hadn't paid. After I sent a picture of the receipt to the manager/owner, only then were we finally allowed on the bus. This entire scene was embarrassing and stressful. Once inside, there was a very explicit video playing on the bus TV that I honestly thought was p__n completely inappropriate, especially since there were kids present. This added to my stress and made me late by a few minutes, leaving me no time to relax before walking down the aisle. After the ceremony, the champagne included in the package wasn't ready when we came out. The best men had to go back inside the bus to grab it, and when they asked for champagne glasses (also included in the package), they were given red solo cups. A family member decided to skip the toast altogether, and we left feeling disappointed. On the way to the venue, the driver suddenly stopped the bus in the middle of nowhere, right in front of a parked truck. We were all freaked out not knowing if the bus had broken down or if something worse was happening. There was zero communication from the driver, which made the situation even more unnerving. I called the manager on Monday to discuss everything. He downplayed the issues, saying it wasn't a big deal since we still got from point A to point B. He did assure me the video wasn't p__n but a "kinky music video," which I appreciate him clarifying. Just a reminder misrepresenting terms not agreed upon is called fraud and we can easily prove it with the contract that was sent to us. Do not use this company as they are willing to change terms during your special event and are willing to commit fraud when being told that a charge will be disputed that was not agreed to. It's the first time I booked a car service without talking to a live person, but decided to pull the trigger. They send automated texts and emails, including the name and phone of your driver. I tried calling and texting them the day before just to be sure everything was set up, but they never called or texted me back. Of course, the next morning the driver is nowhere to be found, so I call him and he says "I told Grid yesterday I couldn't pick you up". I call the service and they start scrambling to figure out what went wrong. They call me frantically with some BS story that the driver went to the wrong address. The. They said they had someone on the way (20 mins away). I told them to cancel it and I just ordered an Uber, which arrived in 10 minutes so we could make our flight on time. I'm clearly in the minority here, given their ratings, but you don't get more than 1 chance to let me down for something like this. They still have not emailed or called to acknowledge cancellation of the return pickup or to apologize for totally screwing this up. All these guys seem capable of doing is sending automated emails and texts. We're never using these guys again.
