Their devil's food cake donut is worth a gazillon stars on its own. It's what turns a good day into the best day. It's that moment of blissful joy and calm that envelopes all of your senses as you take your first, slow bite into the chocolate icing, into the soft inside, into the crispy edges--that send you to donut heaven oblivion. It's a place you want to be every day. Unfortunately, my health tells me no, so I can't have these that often, but when I do, it's a treat, a very scrumptious treat where I enjoy every. Single. Bite. The owners have always been very kind, hardworking, gracious, and welcoming. There have been two different pairs of owners who I know of in the past 25 years of enjoying donuts at this cozy little corner of Edinger and Bolsa Chica. They make deliciously fresh donuts every morning. I love their ham and cheese croissants as well. I've tried several donut shops: Oliboli Donuts (no longer have their delicious cake donuts), Sidecar, Donuttery, Janny's, DK's, Duck Donuts, etc. They all have their specialties, but K & M knows how to do their devil's food cake donuts riiiight. Love so much about this little donut shop! The owners are so kind!! They make connections with their customers. The shop is clean and display cases are easy to navigate. Consistently great traditional donuts with some of the best prices around. Owners are absolutely so sweet and kind, and sometimes add in extra donuts to my order when I get a few dozen for the office. Everyone at the office always compliments the donuts too! The donuts are not as dense as some of the other shops around, which in my book is a huge plus. Would absolutely recommend this shop. It seems like there is a steady stream of regulars, so you may have to wait in line with 2-3 people ahead of you. read more

3.5 stars. Came on a Sat morning and got 2 donuts and an apple fritter. The donuts were completely different kinds of donuts but both had a crunchy consistency that's really quite good. The fritter was terrible though. Just way too greasy. Didn't finish it. Coffee wasn't great either. So just come for the donuts! read more

I've been craving for good donuts since my underwhelming experience with another donut shop and happened to drive by K & M. Based on the Yelp reviews, I took a chance. The donut selections weren't plentiful since it near closing time when I dropped by. The man behind the counter wasn't friendly so I was hesitant to order anything. But I figured why not the donuts didn't look bad. I bought two donuts -- regular glazed and sugar-raised. To some extent, I'm glad I got some. Both donuts were fluffy, soft, and tasted fresh. The glazed donut was on the oilier side so the sugar one ended up being my favorite of the two. The price was comparable to others ($1.30 for each) but the service could've been better. I felt like the man behind the counter couldn't care less that I was patronizing his establishment; I'm unsure if he was just tired or having a bad day. So for the big question... Would I return and/or recommend this ? I may if I only based my decision on the sugar donut. Overall, this is a 4 for me; 3 stars for the service and experience, 4 for the glazed donut, and 5 for the sugar raised one. read more

This is my favorite low key local donut shop in HB. Their pricing is on point and the donuts are usually nice and warm. My absolute one is their cinnamon crumble one that is a popular pick here. Their lemon filled donut is also good. They are always stocked up with different variety and the people behind the counter are fast. My husband has been coming here every morning before work to get his normal cup of coffee. Before he even made it inside the gentleman who owns it already had poured his coffee. My husband came in and said "oh no I want a medium today," because he never finishes it so why waste it? All he wanted was a smaller size. The owner slammed the cup in the sink and said "oh you want a medium now?!" And walked in the back. My husband walked straight out. They won't get our business anymore. Such a shame since we've never had problems. Don't be a dick to me and still expect me to pay you and take your bad attitude. Always a great experience. The place is spotless, the doughnuts are fresh and the folks who run the place are so incredibly kind! This is ALWAYS my go-to when getting doughnuts for my customers. My favorite donuts for sure. I've tried all of them in the area. These have been my favorite. I have also taken dozens to my kid's school and to work. Always well-received. They are top notch. My favorite part is the iced coffee. It is so good. I love it. I make special trips just for the coffee. Most of all, the family who owns the business always makes my family feel welcome. If u looked at this place from the outside, just a normal shop at a lot of corners in Southern California. (I was amazed when I moved here, doughnut shops r like churches in Nashville, one at every corner) I am a connoisseur of the blueberry glazed and the cinnamon crumb cake. Of the hundreds of both that I have tried in my 55 and half years, this place has the best glazed Blueberry AND the best cinnamon crumb I have ever had. Add a medium cup of coffee for $5. Nice couple that runs the unassuming place. The doughnuts r so freaking good and fresh and yummy. 10 stars!! read more

Folks, I stopped in yesterday morning. I got a bagel toasted with cream cheese and it was so good I went back today. This is probably the cleanest and freshly made products I've had. They are open to grab and go. Local regular seniors are not allowed to conjugate due to current issues with covid-19. I've been to other donut shop and I like this one better. I am a donut snob. This place has the best raised donuts on the planet. If you don't know the difference, a raised is the fluffier stuff that comprises a normal glazed, twist, or bar donut (also a French crueller). Theirs are slightly more well done than normal so they are a little darker and crunchier. It makes all the difference. You need to try them and I guarantee you won't eat another squishy glazed donut again. The cake donuts are also cooked longer. Bonus: excellent brewed iced tea! read more

Owners are a pleasant and sweet Asian couple (obviously, they own a donut store) who go out of their way to serve you and always go check in back if there's something you want that they don't have. I go here practically every weekend on my way to surf, donuts are good size and super fluffy and fresh. Best maple bar in town! Usually get a regular glaze and some OJ to go with that, amazingly tasty donuts. My friend introduced me to this place and now I'm hooked. Little pricey for donuts, maybe a quarter or two above other stores per donut so it can add up if you're ordering high quantity or a box. In my opinion the slight extra cost is well worth the great taste. read more

I've driven by this shop so many times and have not thought much about it. I actually think it is near a bait and tackle shop, which might be why I always thought it was part of the shop when glancing at the sign. Well, I happened to be in the hood again and I guess I decided to actually read the sign this time, since I am actually literate. And, it said Donuts!? If I lived nearby, I might get that one again, but this is not a place to go out of the way and try.

When someone finally came over we asked again about swapping the donut and she said "oh I heard you before." So she heard us at the speaker and just... didn't respond. That's not a small thing. Donuts were ok, nothing special. The small black coffee kept leaking out the side... lid was on tight, coffee wasn't filled to the top, so something is off with the lids. Overall the service made it hard to enjoy anything about the visit.

Plenty of seating including comfortable chairs and sofas! Also plenty of electrical outlets to plug in devices while you enjoy your donuts

I loved the pretzel ripple and the cookie dough pieces for texture too. This location has stunning views of the sunset. They don't really have anywhere to sit but you can grab your ice cream and go stroll along the beach.

LOL) We only tried 3 different donuts, but they were all so bomb. The churro donut was my favorite. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just like a real churro, but didn't get soggy. The Nutella Malasada was full of Nutella and it was actually my first time trying a malasada... bomb! The cookies and creme mochi was a nice surprise too. The cream was actually very flavorful and not just like a plain creme with Oreos thrown in like I've often seen. I'm sure all of the donuts would be really good here. I will definitely make a trek here again one of these days.

None of the donuts tasted fresh, I am sure they were made hours before we bought them. Churro was super hard and stale, salted caramel literally tasted like nothing, blueberry tasted like sweet artificial fruit, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting was the best one. If I lived nearby, I might get that one again, but this is not a place to go out of the way and try.
