This is a busy, trendy hip restaurant that I had been dying to check out.
Ecclectic menu from pizza to curry but greatly disappointed.
It's located on a trendy little street with shops and other restaurants and cafes but sadly the promising flavors featured on the menu fell short.
The soup we ordered was a lentil, bean and carrot soup which gets-3 stars. It needed a punch- (I may have to start traveling with a bottle of Tobasco because this needed something). I wish the soup would have been in a cup-instead of a big bowl, that was not an option so it was not an accompaniment, more like a meal in itself.
The margarita pizza for the kids was a goopy mess. I do have to say I ordered it with Buffalo mozzarella so maybe that's why it was such a cluster.
The pumpkin gnocchi again lacked flavor. It was like they' pureed the pumpkin and forgot the spice? The curry my hubby ordered was not bad but nothing was a total standout.
Wine, service, ambiance-5 stars! I love the music and the location, I may have just missed the good plates?
Great English spoken here too. If I was still there, I'd want to go back just to try other dishes, maybe it was a different chef?
The only highlight of the night was that Mt. Etna was erupting so we got a great show prior to dinner!
I would be interested in other reviews because I really wanted to love this place:( The great thing is that it was great for families, couples or groups.
New chef please! read more
