This fabulous walking and cycling route follows the old railway line and is looked after by Sustrans (a transport charity) for everyone. Along the Loop Line trail, there are many different but valuable habitats worth looking out for, such as woodlands and wetland habitats. The open grasslands and grass verges along the trail are an important home and feeding place for many species of birds, mammals and insects which depend on the mix of foliage. If you are a keen cyclist (no need to be an expert) or into nature trails, the Loop Line offers a relaxing journey that goes on for miles.

This was a great way to see areas of Liverpool we wouldn't have otherwise and had I not gotten ill for the remainder of our visit, would have loved to have had a pint or two at the hidden little pub Phil pointed out to us where no tourists go. Even though the day was cold, damp and misty, it was still a great way to spend 3 1/2 hours in Liverpool.

It is located at the back of Brimlow's Garage in Poulton. Really worth seeking out and paying a visit. Great shop situated at Coed Llandegla forest. The trails at Llandegla, although not overly…read moretechnical, are very fun and flow well. The red route is sufficiently challenging for a couple of loops if you've got a spare few hours. The trails hold up well even in the bad weather which is great when the local trails are too muddy to ride. The cafe is great for a post ride meal - especially the burger. Apparently they serve the best breakfast in Wales..... Car park is £3 which goes towards the upkeep of the forest and trails. He allows you go at your own pace and after making suggestions, you decide the general route and which sites that you want to see most. Also after the organized tour, you are free to take off on your own. Also the pedal assist with e-bikes makes going up those hills all the more enjoyable. Even the location of the start right around the corner from the Hollin Hall Hotel was perfect and very convenient. It is only a 2 minute walking distance from the hotel Five out five stars, couldn't be any better!
