It reminds me of popcorn chicken batter, and it's not too salty. They lightly coat the fried chicken cartilage with a fish sauce glaze. At first, it smells a bit fishy, but not overpowering. The fish sauce smell was not too prominent when eating it...I am someone who is pretty sensitive to fish sauce, too, so the fact I can enjoy it is saying something! It's a bit on the sweet side. That dish is an eggroll that has pork and shrimp but no vegetables (they specifically said no carrots) and is rolled up in rice paper. When the rice paper is fried it is extra crunchy (I'm a big fan of crunchy textures!) They also explained to us that the snow chicken has a cheese flavoring on top. The honeydew tasted like medicine, lol. The "popcorn chicken" (photo attached) tasted like cafeteria chicken nuggets. It was the worst I've ever had at a boba shop. The shave ice was decent. The kids didn't like their drinks but they ate the shave ice. The shop is quite small but clean. The service was great. I just wish they had better drinks. Unfortunately, we won't be going to this boba shop again.
