Dial searching, out of my frustration w/the lack of a good radio morning show in a small Virginia…read moremarket, I found Kidd Kraddick. Initially I knew I was not the demo for their audience. Still, I occasionally tuned in - at that time Kellie Rasberry was out on extended maternity leave. Her daughter is now 7 & the great Dave Cradick aka Kidd Kraddick has sadly died. The last few years I've listened 5 days a week to the current lineup of Kellie, J-Si (Jose Chavez), Jenna Owens, the inimitable Big Al Mack & world's best board op Shanon Murphy. They have carried on since Kidd's been gone. AND they continue to do an entertaining show. Content is built around show biz news & family friendly phoners w/major stars. Lots of games for fans too. Their charity work with Kidd's Kids is exemplary. I am a former radio professional & entertainer. My radio listening started in the world's largest market, NYC. I know good radio. That's why I listen to Kidd Kraddick in the morning. They have a net presence at KiddNation.com & are syndicated in 70+ US markets. Broadcast in the New River Valley on J-104.5 FM Bluefield WV. Southern Florida Hotels, is this another voice computer system or is this a recorded person announcer? 4. Part Time Justin: He is a positive DJ, which is great to hear especially during the morning when I am waking up still. 5. Text 0707 is mentioned for what? 6. I noticed the new singers name or band are not being mentioned, why? 7. Traffic announcer is brief. The female announcer is good though, even though she does not have a huge amount of minutes to tell the traffic. She is still articulate. 8. American Express commercial 9. I would think Kelly Raspberry listens to these. The music has changed big time. They have similar upbeats and rhythms as well, lyrics are different. I'm a country music…read morefan, but when you say that, you get roped in with all of those douches who like Kenny Cheesey, Rascal Flatheads, Keith Metro and other aweful acts that don't write their own tunes. I like stuff that you don't here on "country" radio....UNLESS, you got it dialed in to 95.3 THE RANGE! They play every thing from the locals like Owen Temple, The Old 97's, Sorta, Macon Greyson, Max Stalling, Bleu Edmonson...And they also play artists from back in the day, and the new young independent studs. You'll it all, from Johnny Cash to Johnny Paycheck, Roger Miller to Roger Creager, Good ole Gary P. Nunn, the 2 kings of my music world JJW and REK, Randy Rogers, CCR(both kinds), 1100 Springs(the best damn band in Texas), Willie, Waylon and Me. Brett Dylon, best DJ out there...They even just made a movie about him. He's the goa teed honky tonk hippie himself, with his band of monkeys, and he rules. The others are suspect, but all in all, i rarely move down the dial.

That Dallisite Charlie Pride recently passed but,as I just heard on " the Possum" his music lives on because of these great small niche stations. Is anybody goin to San Anton or Pheonix Arizona? Mass incarceration, the barriers of reentry and cumulative disadvantage are prominent bi partisan issues that deserve attention. Stephanie, Donna and the team at the station were kind enough to give me the platform to share this importance with their listeners, and offer solutions. The location: It can be a bit difficult to find. Your GPS will take you to a shopping center with many strip malls, and this place is on the back. They don't have a sign on the billboard, but you can see CB Furniture fairly easily. It is right next door. Once inside: when you first walk in it is dark, ans looks kind of like you walked into a living room. It looks small. There is an old creeky door, and you can hear radio shows going on. You get impression that you are going to walk in a session if you open that door. You won't! Just push on in. There is a long hallway with many different room, all with doors. I would suggest that if you are going on a show, get the hosts phone number so that they can come and get you up front if you have never been. All of the staff I encountered (including the owner) were very kind. It was a great experience, and I would absolutely return, and will listen along.
