second and last experience-- not so great. Came here with 3 people to study and we were told by the manager while ordering our drinks that next time there would be an additional $10 fee for our group to sit there, even if we bought drinks. The cafeteria wasn't busy at all (only 2 tables occupied in a large space), so the policy felt confusing and unnecessary. I asked why and she replied back, " I have to pay rent and electricity". If that's the case, they should plaster their policies at the front before catching the customer off guard. Feels unwelcoming. With so many other cafés around Koreatown, policies like this would probably just push customers to go elsewhere (like us). read more

I dropped by out of curiosity because I hadn't heard of this place before, but I was very pleasantly surprised at the lovely cozy vibes. The food I ordered was the Beef Bulgogi Rice Bowl and it tasted great! I'm a simple man, I already love beef bulgogi, but eating it paired with the sauce they make in-house perfectly hit the spot. The server was very kind and helpful since she could tell it was my first time there and the other customers studying were also very respectful and quiet. My first visit here was with a friend that was a regular at the cafe. We only ordered one drink each, the boss was pretty nice and we were able to play a couple games of pool. I visited this cafe again with another friend. We ordered a drink each and tried to play pool when the owner comes out saying "not everything is free" in a rude manner, and that we had to spend $15/person. Mind u, my friend who is a regular or her friends never paid up to $15/person since the beginning until now. I get that owners can have favoritism to regulars but to just be straight up rude and talk to customers who you think are first-timers- is no way to conduct a business. At least put up a sign in front of the table stating the store policies instead of constantly leaving the cafe and trying to lecture customers when you come back. We have been coming K zone for more than a year and we liked the space. Nice Clean environment food and coffee are ok until today customer service has been great very friendly. My daughter forgot her wallet and I came up from the parking lot to pay for drink. When I got there I saw the lady and told her I was looking for my daughter and had a weird tone and said" your daughter is in the restroom, every time she comes she uses the restroom ". And I responded every time she comes she buys something and I sat at the bar. When my daughter came out I said let's paid for your drink and the lady. That's ok you don't have to pay if you do t want the drink, it's ok if she needed to use the restroom.my daughter said I do want my drink. The lady said. I said she came in here fue the drink not only to use the restroom. She said I don want to argue with you and gave attitude the whole time. I was on a hunt for a new cafe in K-Town and came by this cozy little Korean cafe a couple days ago to study for finals, eat meals, & munch on some snacks at the same time. This place has a variety of food and drinks here (mostly Korean cuisine) like rice bowls, triangle rice onigiris, Korean snacks, ramen, coffee, Korean sodas & alcohol here. In short, they have loads of snacks and filling meals. Personally, I like cafes with a lot of outlets and big tables to study including a good range of options in food and drinks. In brief, this place has it all! What makes this cafe particularly special as a student customer are the cafe owner and staffs! By far in my long cafe exploration journey here in LA, the people who work here are the sweetest and kindest individuals. I felt welcomed immediately and had an instant feeling I'll be coming here more often as a regular. The only minor thing is the parking, it can be a little tricky. There is a small free parking lot available in front of the cafe and street parking on the sides of the building. The owner is incredibly sweet! We chatted for a bit, and they mentioned they're working on getting their liquor license as well.
