Once we got to Montalivet a few weeks later, it seemed everyone was wearing them...but these were a lot nicer, even if a bit Sailor Sam, blue and white horizontal stripes And... You can sit outside and mull over your purchases or wishes with a decent coffee Just hope this place survives; it deserves to and has a good model...have to say the prices all around this town were brilliant...yes, maybe it was a little end of season, but nevertheless Go, support them! Forgot - we also bought some little thermos-like coffee mugs (to avoid putting espressos in a tea one)...good size but the coffee doesn't survive a journey

We visited this beach many years ago - it is just as lovely as it was then...huge, a distance to…read morethe sea, so plenty of room to sit or walk, or sit close to the dune for more protection from the wind...and gently sloping into the sea, so "relatively" safe Big carpark, with an overflow and there is a loo there now....the sign says naturists left, thus everyone else goes straight on through the cut in the dune...a little more challenging slope than Graem... Two tips: 1) don't go left as you have to cross 2 dunes if you do...we tried to this time and on the way back (see reason 2 below) to the cut, I got bitten to death by a load of beasties...these very itchy, large bumps lasted nearly 10 days; so start again, through the cut, then turn left! 2) the biggest problem with this beach is the people atop the dune - all men as far as we could tell...they have a variety of reasons - and propositions - for being there. To be avoided. No issues at all on the beach itself and if you sunbathe near the dune, they can't see you anyway A reasonable number of people, all having a really nice time...long walks, paddling and for quite a few, swimming as well...the water was a little cooler than Graem Strand but still fine We sat for ages and looked at the amazing cloud formation - see photo...lovely, relaxing in the sun, cool breeze
