Firstly, the store in Kabiri Marylebone is amazing and have been meaning to write a positive review for a while. The staff are helpful without being pushy, the jewellery is just beautiful (if not on the expensive side, but it is designer!), and the shop is a lovely intimate place that isn't daunting.
However, my perception of the company has changed on shopping at their Covent Garden branch. Sadly a ring I had was faulty so needed to take it back to be repaired. I was closer to the Covent Garden store at the time so decided to head there with the ring. Please remember at this point, Kabiri is a small company with only 2 stores. I was greated by surly staff who were too busy with creating displays that I had to actually ask for help. I was served by a very cold French girl who said that I couldnt return the ring to that store becuase I didn't purchase the ring there, I had to take it back to Marylebone and that is coud take up to 6 weeks for the repair! How much red tape for one small company? I didn't understand why such a small company is this rigid with it's policies, so asked to see the manager, and she said she was! She was very rude and just talked over me in a very condecending manner. I left with the ring and a promise to myself never to go back.
I have to say, dealing with Covent Garden staff (and manager!) has totally changed my perception of the company. There are so many more designer jewellery stores opening up elsewhere that I am now shopping there, and would advice anyone else to do the same. I don't understand how one store only a few miles away from another can be totally different. I can understand from a chain store, but Kabiri (as I pointed out before), only has 2 stores.
And the ring? Never got it repaired at Kabiri, instead I contacted the designer directly and recieved a new one in less than a week with a little note apologising. Now that's good customer service. read more
