I was managing an event in Santa Monica & one of the guests requested a kosher meal. I called ahead to check and see if the items on the menu were kosher (a yelp search of 'Kosher' around Santa Monica pulls this location up as a top result) The person who answered the phone confirmed and said "yes everything is kosher here" When I gave the meal I ordered to my guest, he called to double check whether or not the item was kosher since he hadn't heard of it before. To our dismay, another individual answered the phone and let us know that the location does NOT SERVE KOSHER FOOD! I don't know how that kind of miscommunication or misunderstanding could even happen, but it reflects so poorly on this business. If you do call to ask a question regarding their menu, make sure you talk to an employee who actually knows what's going on. read more

i live by here and thought it was time i gave Kafe K a try. the food was fresh and good. my bf and i each had the egg white sandwich- it was basic but delicious. the place is bit costly, one sandwich toast with a few bites of salad was $17.. i easily could see it being $12/13. especially since it's pretty basic and doesn't have a special sauce or any personal flare. pretty ample seating outside and a few seats inside. enjoyable atmosphere. i'd come back, but just not often $40 for breakfast is just steep. read more

Wow wow wow. Can't believe we've missed out on this place for 15 years. The loveliest hostess and food was exceptional for our brunch. Had a wide variety of squeezed juices, cappuccino and smoothie--all on point. The soup, salads, avocado toast, Nutella special and caprese sandwich were all great. For better food with more unique items I would be willing to pay the amount they are charging now for the menu options. Seems like coffee and fresh coconut water is where they are really good at. Best kept secret on Main Street in Santa Monica. In fact, I didn't want to do this for fear they would get too popular- then again Covid really stung for them and this place is a truly wonderful little sidewalk cafe (with beer and wine - BONUS). They have fantastic breakfasts, really great (and healthy options) lunches, amazing Italian pastries and decadent desserts! All very fairly priced! This little place is pretty good and is a good spot if you go to Urth Caffe and decide it is too crowded for you, then come here! This cafe has pitaya bowls, salads and sandwiches. Every sandwich comes with a house salad. I got the Italian (mozerella, proscuitto, tomato) on wheat chibatta bread. For sandwiches, you can choose between white, wheat and chibatta bread. Half a sandwich is about $9-10 and a full sandwich is about $12-13. They also have smoothies here for about $7.50. There are tables inside and outside the restaurant. You order at the cash register and they will bring the food to you. The staff is really nice here. For parking, you have to find street parking, so bring your quarters or look to park in the beach parking lots. This restaurant is located on Main Street, a few streets away from the beach. Cute little cafe tucked away on Main St. It's pretty easy to miss if you're driving by. I was super hungry one morning while I was walking my dogs. I started reading their menu out in the front. One of the customers sitting outside on the bench recommend that I try their Eggwhite Sandwich (toasted wholewheat bread, spinach, tomato, avocado). At first it sounded too healthy I was craving bacon, but I ordered it anyways. I was completely blown away by the sandwich, eggwhites and spinach combo never tasted so good on a toasted wheat bread. Don't let the simplicity fool you. I tried to remake this sandwich at home and it was epic fail. I'm not too crazy about their chai latte however (I recommend that you go to Dogtown Coffee down the street). But I hear their hot chocolate is pretty good so this is on my to-try list next visit.
