Dammmn Jakobstads famous Korv Gorans!! They've moved from there original & best location.. not sure…read morewhy they moved but their new place is yes newer but not as much of a standout place.. they have indoor seating now that is probably the only big plus side. First time i went here was 2008.. was in Finland for about 5 days and was eating here once a day especially after our night out on the towns lol!! Back again in 2008 and was perfection tastiness haha!! They are famous for their korv box, which is deep fried chips & sausage, bit of salad & a tasty sauce drizzled over the top :), they also are famous for their tasty kebab meat & very popularly served with rice :D!! Their kebab & rice was still pure tastyness :), but i couldn't say the same for their Korv box..!! The chips were soggy, there was way to much sauce so it drenched everything & there was minimal sausage.. i got the large box & i counted about 8 sausage pieces.. 2014 i was a bigger eater than i am now & i could barely finish all the sausage haha!! My auntie & uncle both got what i got aswell but half the size and it was the same pooor effort consistency. Was talking to some friends in the area and it is still the same owners so not sure why the qaulity has diminished.. hope if i try it again on my next visit it is closer to how it used to be :).

This kind of cafe is what you would see in a capital city, it…read morehas fantastic seating outside & a very modern interior, with beautifully crafted wooden tables, nice comfortable seats & really cool lamps above each table :). Very big selectin of cookies, cakes & pastries, hot drinks, also a good amount of pastries that were on sale for fika at home :). Did see alot of the same cakes on offer, that i saw from the cafe i went to the day before haha.. its normal here i guess :). Ended up getting a Finish Jam donut, cinammon bun, pink iced donut & a custard pastry all were super soft and devouringly tasty :D!! The staff were super friendly & there was ample of them for the flow of customers :), it had only been open a week or 2 when i had been there and it was without a doubt the busiest place in Jakobstad lol!! Not only is it a cafe but it is also a interior shop, selling small items for around the kitchen/household & a fair few other bigger items :). The name Fika means "Coffee Break with any kind of treats" very popular all around the Nordic area :)!! I have had my whole years worth of Fika in 7 days visiting family ...!! We have a Swedisg Fika cafe in Sydney Australia close to a beach called Manly and it has been crazy busy ever since they opened :D, so I'm more than sure that having a cafe called Fika is a good investment ;)!! Definately going to try this place on my next visit.. just hope i can get a table :D!!
