This cafe was recommended by our tour guide so we stopped inside for lunch. We were welcomed by a young lady at the counter who said we could sit where we liked.
The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The decor is light colored and open feeling despite its small space.
Our server was so patient with us, as they have a limited menu and lunch had already wound down. She did have available a toasted sandwich that had 2 types of cheese, pesto, onion chutney, (local) ham, and rocket. It included tomatoes but I asked for mine without. We also each got lattes.
When my husband was served his latte, they had forgotten mine. I waited a bit to be sure and then let the server know. Not a big deal, but I wanted to enjoy it before eating the sandwich. When she brought the latte, she included a gingerbread cookie. That was really sweet but quite indicative of the service level.
The sandwiches arrived nice and warm - the cheddar cheese was already making its way outside of the sandwich - it was so gooey and good! We both thought these were one of the best sandwiches we'd ever had. They were excellent! And the lattes were very smooth as well.
We highly recommend this cafe, even if just for a coffee stop whilst you are sightseeing through town. read more
