Colorful artwork covers the walls and stained glass pieces are in the windows. Blankets and throw pillows are on the benches lining the walls, and there are lots of plants of many different varieties all over the place in pots. I would describe the vibe in here South American meets "hipster without trying to be hipster". The baristas are very nice, and helpful with suggestions. We ordered a cappuccino and a 50/50 (espresso/milk, I don't remember the name) and it cost us 70 sek, so it wasn't too expensive. The coffees were very pretty, finally worth an Insta post lol. There IS wifi, see photos for password :D I would definitely recommend this place if you're a coffee nut, or if you want a quaint location for a coffee date.

Walking in, the atmosphere was pretty casual with people talking it up with one another and enjoying coffee. The baristas at the counter were super welcoming and helpful when it came to choosing which drink I wanted to get. I decided to get a latte with an espresso made from Ethiopia beans and my friend got a pourover (V60) made from the Costa Rica beans. The latte was amazing and it was super smooth with the Ethiopia espresso. I tried some of the Costa Rica pourover and it was great, it had a nice and light taste to it and I loved it so much I decided to buy a bag of the Costa Rica beans. I also loved how they serve their pourovers in an Erlenmeyer flask, it made me so happy! As I was enjoying my drink, I began to talk with one of the baristas about coffee and it was great to meet such people that were so enthusiastic about coffee living their dreams and making this amazing coffee. I know I'll be back here again whenever I'm back in Sweden. Until then, I'll be missing this place on the daily.

There was an umbrella, a pair of gloves, a scarf and my cap I bought last year in Osaka during sakura season. This little cafe is in the Haga neighborhood, which is written about in every tourist brochure and online review, and a favorite of locals like myself to walk through the cobblestone streets and browse through the antique stores, specialty shops, and cafes. The name is also true to Gothenberg's famous sense of humor and play on words in the Gothenberg dialect. Like (P)arken. Don't worry, if you don't speak Swedish or Göteborgska you will still enjoy this place as a tourist or a local. The breakfast is what brings me in all seasons--when it is chilly to warm I sit outside to watch the people pass by. The street is officially closed to traffic, but there are still trucks and cars that pass through, although not as busy as the Avenyn district. For 70kr you get either the oatmeal or yogurt breakfast, I prefer the yogurt which gives you a hearty bowl of yogurt, homemade muesli, and your choice of raspberry jam or applesauce, a cheese sandwich, and a glass of apple or orange juice and cup of coffee or tea. Tea is refillable for free and coffee is just about 1 dollar. The cheese sandwich is on either a whole wheat or white bread that is always fluffy, moist and filled with nuts and poppyseed on the top. I often wrap it up to take with me when I leave for a little snack later as I go about my day. It holds its texture all day,not drying up to a crouton as many breads will. The decor is a little dark and with muted greens and greys and they have a shelf on the far end with local artists work that rotate and the wall on the left or entrance side is one long bulletin board that they are very open and happy to let whoever wants to post their flyers. Artists shows, yoga teachers classes and retreats, book releases, dog walking services, it is all there in a friendly chaos. They also offer the standard fare of salad, sandwiches and Swedish fika sweets so it is a nice place to take a break if you are a tourist or visitor to experience the Swedish fika. During the winter, it is very warm...so you feel at home and can really take off all your coats, scarves, sweaters, etc. and relax there. The women who work there are always friendly and the food, as I said, is always consistent and tasty. It is a place to take a book to read, meet and linger with a friend to catch up, work on your novel. Friendly staff, and consistently friendly is for some reason a rare thing for me to find in Gothenberg, so this bumps it up to a 5 in my yelp book. Ö+=

There's a few seats inside, and there always seems to be a few regulars hanging around. We went at around 8:30 day after day after Christmas and there was hardly anyone there. They seem to have early opening hours (around 7) when other nearby cafes were not open or open late at around 10. The coffee itself is straightforward, no frills, but good. They offer a few snack and cafe like foods, but nothing specifically for proper brunch or breakfast and more like small sandwiches and pastries. The inside has room for about 8 people sitting at the tables but I've never seen it full. However the inside was a bit dilapidated and run down and could use some sprucing up. Definitely a good local coffee shop when in the mood for something simple and not in any particular hurry - they do not seem in any sort of rush to give you your espresso - but I think that's the point.

The kind of place and owner where everyday I am sure that the owner tunes the machine and tries one or two cafe before the opening. I haven't tried the croisants and others but I can say that living in North America I haven't had a flavourful cafe like this in a while. The taste stayed in my mouth for a few hours. Will go back tomorrow I am sure.
