Worst Dr's office I've ever been to. You go in, make a plan with the Dr, and then they don't call in your medication. Then they go on vacation for 2 weeks, and the covering Dr denies your refill requests, and then won't call you back. DO NOT COME TO HIM. He's treated my mother with the utmost disrespect and I can't stand him. He says that all the problems my mom has is her own fault which maybe true but he didn't need to be rude and yell at her. Not to mention tell her of an condition that she is now all of a sudden diagnosed after 6 years living in this state with no real reason of how she got it. Yeah okay. This man is arrogant, uncaring and ignorant. He told my 65 year old mother her depression was her own fault and that she should pay more for health insurance due to being a smoker. I confronted him and he was completely ignorant on dealing with people. I would NEVER want him to treat him or anyone in my family ever again. Dr. Kagan is a straight shooter. Naturally skeptical of doctors, especially dentists, but Dr. Kagan is solid.

He's a doctor to hundreds of elderly through assisted care facilities in the West Hartford area, and who knows where else. He's pretty much a no-show, leaving the heavy lifting of actually seeing patients to his nurse practitioner or physician assistant. read more

where do I begin??? I started dating a man that told me he had diabetes and a problem with his kidneys. Ok after his dr appointment with Kagan I asked a hand full of questions and they were always I don't know answers! I finally decided to go with him to the drs office. Well low and behold he schedules several people at the same time for an appointment. Waiting time is an average of forty minutes listening to patients in waiting room complaining. IN room nurse asks you what meds your on and why there? Response monthly check up as usual. ok he comes in ten minutes later. asks how he was ? sugar levels? and says any questions and my boyfriends response is MY girlfriend has a lot? I asked him what foods he cant have now because of issue with kidneys? I ask him for a script for a glucose meter? I ask him why he doesn't have a check up in two years? Why he doesn't have diabetic shoes and wearing diabetic socks? his replies,,,,,, he basically have anything now it doesn't really matter his kidneys are failing! glucose meter I guess i can write a script! Physical I must be wrong about timeframe. Diabetic shoes and socks for circulation because he has neuropathia answer was I guess I can write a script! this doctor is pitiful to say the least !! I was leaving and told him we would be getting a second opinion he wasn't being a proactive doctor. He said your welcome too! Update found a new doctor in Glastonbury walk in for a physical like first appointment is and she was told nothing of prior problem and she preformed every exam aspect without being told and checked feet as well. Sometimes doctor treat so many people I think they forget their job for each patient no matter what. Please new patients going always get a second opinion it could save your life in the long run!!! A doctor is only as good as he practices when he knows his boundaries and restraints. read more
