    Hokkaido Milk Tea

Amazing boba in IV! Delicious- and this is coming from a big fan of boba milk tea. BIG issue with timing, service, and ambience. I'm aware this place doesn't specialize in milk tea, but ramen and curry- but I waited 22 minutes for this and am disappointed by how the staff were making the boba orders before me very slowly while seemingly being unfocused. I'm really bummed because the boba was delicious.

The food is really good and they give large portions! Try to avoid busy hours because it does take a while for your order to come out. Other than that, amazing!!

SO GOOD! Portions are so worth the price because the bowls were pretty big so it was my lunch and dinner. the crispiness of the croquettes were so perfect with the curry and didnt get soggy. Ahhh so good and had to learn how to make it at home.

Mango milk tea with boba and lychee jelly

Me and my friends tried the mango slush and the mango milk tea with boba and lychee jelly. This was the best boba I've had since I've been to San Francisco. The food looks amazing and straight out of different anime's!

Boba was good and customer service was friendly. For SB boba I was pretty pleased! The inside was nice with a lot of seating. The only thing I would change was the music, a little loud, a little poppy for me.

(Overall: A) - In Santa Barbara, Kaiju is definitely my go to for a refreshing fruit tea. They have a variety of options that are all light and refreshing and have similar topping options like Aloe. Unlike other 805 Boba downtown which is intoxicatingly sweet and Hochaya with sheer rudeness from the servers, Kaiju is a convenient option for all students nearby.

This place is clean. The bathrooms are very nice. We went in the afternoon so it was very quiet and calm. We came here for the boba and they did not dissapoint. It was so so so good. My friend got the matcha milk tea with boba and it had so much flavor. I ordered the oreo blended with boba, it is quite sweet but I'm a huge fan of sweet things. If you want more of a subtle sweetness I suggest the matcha. The boba came in a timely manner about 5-10 minutes. The women who took my order was very nice.

Superb quality grub for college standards - just an odd snafu. Popcorn chicken (They we're out of fried octopus) Sultry Korean rub with tender juiciness inside. Accompanied by a sweet and spicy red sauce. Great to munch on. Hainanese chicken rice bowl Entree is presented fresh, clean, colorful and vibrant, if that makes sense. The Hainan chicken is delicious and naturally pairs with the rice. They cut up the broccoli into little flowerettes and there's a respectable helping of seaweed and sweet corn. Shoyu Udon Tasted - rich, warm salt-based broth with all the fixings. Tonkatsu Ramen A shade milkier and pork based broth delivers a hearty punch. It just as solid of a dish as the shoyu. Boba: Roasted Oolong Milk Milky richness with boba soft and fresh. Wonderful ancient oolong flavor. Passion fruit paradise Lemon lime tart is cool and refreshing and makes a great thirst quencher (and it wasn't even a hot day) Service was courteous yet slow. We really wanted to try the octopus but then they were out - informing us post-ordering - so we reluctantly switched to the popcorn chicken. Then the food took awhile to come out and when I checked on the order, our noodle soups were sitting on the counter ready, but the server said they were just waiting for the popcorn chicken. I asked for the soups first then and he handed it over but by the time we dug into it, it was med-hot at best. Especially on a cold and windy day, you really want that bowl delivered piping and steaming. That's all.

3.5 stars I really want to give this place a higher rating but after COVID, the restaurant unfortunately underwent many changes, but deep down, I give this place 5 stars :) The bento boxes have great side options and a great amount of rice for my rice lovers. The boba offered here is also offered at a hotpot place in Goleta and it tastes decent, I would give it a try :) The service is really good here and the workers are extremely polite. I was so so excited when a ramen place finally opened up in IV! I think hundreds of us were finally waiting for this time to arrive. And when it did, I knew I had to try it! To be completely honest, this ramen isn't the best/ greatest I have ever had, but I am giving it a 4 because this ramen was pretty DANG good for IV/ Santa Barbara ramen! Both the ramen broths were super flavorful. The tonkotsu was a little bit too salty, but the consistency is of the both was super good! And my goodness, the portion for the curry was huge!! I was definitely not expecting for it to be that big, but it is definitely worth your money ($13). As for taste, it satisfies the curry craving, but it tastes a little like the instant curry you buy at the asian supermarket... All in all, definitely give this place a try if you're in the area & want to satisfy that ramen/ curry craving!

My friends and I came here today for dinner. We got two orders of the tonkatsu curry (pork) and an order of the tonkotsu ramen. I didn't try the ramen, but my friend said it was pretty average (hence the overall 3 star rating). I got the tonkatsu curry. The pork was surprisingly tender (not dry at all, like a lot of pork tonkatsu is), but the breading was soft and not crisp so maybe that was why. I thought that the sauce had good flavor but was a little thin, but my main issue with the dish was the sauce to rice ratio. By the time I finished the sauce and half the meat, there was still more than half the rice left, and my friend had the same issue. I asked the server if it would be possible to pay for the curry sauce on the side, and he said that he could ask the kitchen but that there currently wasn't a button for it. He never returned to let me know either way so definitely keep that in mind when ordering (maybe ask for extra when you order if that's something you care about) Service was fine, not great, but not terrible -- again, not super organized and could use more communication with the kitchen. Not sure if I'd eat here again, as I think the recipes need tweaking, but I am from the Bay Area so my standard for Asian dishes tends to be set pretty high. But I gave them 3 stars because I think it's pretty average for IV standards -- not significantly better or worse.

Matcha Milk tea and rosie milk tea has no milk taste at all. Pure sugar water. Never order again.

Our family of eight really enjoyed our meal. The portions were generous and filling. We got ramens and rice bowls and everyone loved it. Will definitely be back when it town.

Food was gross and overpriced. Asked for it to be sent pack and the girl working laughed in my face. Never going back again.

You will have to wait a very long time for food, and they will forget your drink. If you want to get in a bad mood and waste time, go ahead.

Portion size is good for the 3 entrees and the price is a couple of dollars cheaper than the sit down Thai restaurants. Pad thai: it was good if you like pad thai on the sweeter side. If you don't like sweet pad thai, you might think its not as balanced. Drunken udon noodle: made with round wheat noodles instead of flat rice noodles, other than that, the taste was good and I liked the use of baby bok choy, which is not normally included in drunken noodles. The spice level can increase a notch. Khao man gai: this dish is called Hainan chicken rice in the Chinese speaking parts of the world. Zapp has a more traditional version with boiled chicken, but I got the fried chicken. Chicken was juicy and crispy while the rice was mildly savory with a slight sheen of chicken fat from being cooked in chicken broth. It was also served with a side of very light chicken broth. I didn't like the Thai sweet chili sauce. I would have prefer a more complex ginger sauce. I don't know if the more traditional ginger sauce is offered with the boiled chicken. Chicken wings: crispy wings in a sweet and slightly spicy glaze. Nothing particularly Korean about it, but it was tasty. Fries: standard fries with some seasoning on top and served with a spicy and tart aioli. This was over priced at $8, I wouldn't pay more than $5 for some fries. This is the first Thai food truck in Goleta and Santa Barbara since we don't have a town council very friendly to food trucks. Overall, I think the food was quite good and the price is better than the other Thai places in town.

The drunken noodles are made with udon, and they've got the perfect qq bouncy noodle flavor. The soup was rich and coconut-y, with hints of lemongrass. I've gotta come back to try more some time.
