They served another customer who arrived after me, when I asked if they were busy. "What do you need?" I need this bronze fitting. "We have it in plastic. You don't need bronze." Do you know where I can find it near here? (ignored). Now they're on the bottom of my list of hardware stores in this town.

"The Master" in English, O Mestre is another of my fairly regular stops for hardware. It is…read morelocated right on the main highway of the city of Cabedelo, and they have their own parking in front, so it's very convenient. The store is like a mini version of Home Depot, with almost everything you need for renovation projects (except lumber or tile). They're never very crowded, but the sales staff could be a little more attentive to their clients and the cashiers could be a little quicker (so it's a lot like Home Depot in that respect). Overall, it's one of the places I do stop to look for the things I need, but it's not the only one. Probably deserves 3 1/2 stars.
