I ordered a flat white, which was solid--smooth, nicely balanced, no complaints. But then I tasted my friends' drinks... and wow, I definitely missed out. They had variations of coffee and chocolate drinks, and every single one I tried was really, really good. Rich, velvety, and chocolatey without being overly sweet. That touch of chocolate added so much depth without overpowering the coffee. The guy at the counter was incredibly kind and patient with our group and gave genuinely great recommendations. You could tell he knew the menu well and really wanted people to enjoy what they ordered. All around, this place just hits the mark--cozy atmosphere, great drinks, and top-notch service. I'll definitely be back next time, and I'm going straight for the chocolate.

Offering snacks and treats as well as the typical cafe drinks, this place wouldn't even be able to distinguish itself from a halfway decent cafe in this city. Besides the convenience of getting a coffee while at the mall, it really doesn't have anything to offer; if it weren't for the fact that it was in the mall it would be two stars. Even compared to its competition--the aforementioned Starbucks--it doesn't stack up very well. The only place to sit is at the tables if the food court, and wouldn't be ideal to sit and spend a little time, where the Starbucks is in its own beautiful store with comfortable places to sit and relax. And while the espresso drinks are pretty comparable to Starbucks, the Americano was weaker, though not terrible. All in all not a bad option if you're at this mall and want a decent coffee to drink while you're shopping. Next time I visit this mall, though, I'll make sure I stop at one of the many great cafes I pass first.

It was a small terrace with around 6ish tables, some cute decor and tons of plants. It was packed when we arrived but it only took about 15 minutes for our group of 4 to be seated. We each ordered a different beverage and they were all so cute. I have to say the chai latte that my sister ordered was the best I've ever had. My mocha was super delicious but I was feeling a little jealous of her drink order lol. They were out of verde sauce for my chilaquiles but the rojo was amazing. Conveniently located on the cobblestoned artery between our hotel and Zona Centro's social hub, Jardin Allende, this three-floor cafe was compact but surprisingly relaxing given the constrained layout of the seating. The cafe's name translates appropriately to "good aromas" since the roasted beans wafted throughout the space. On our first visit, we arrived in the middle of the afternoon and treated ourselves to the MX$85 Affogato, a nice combo of vanilla gelato and an espresso shot (Photo 10). We came back the following morning when the place was literally percolating with customers. This time we shared a table on the rooftop. What I appreciated was how the owner had no compunction about telling laptoppers not to monopolize tables clearly set up for multiple people. This time we had true beverages with their own twists. I had the MX$60 Cococcino, a cappuccino with a touch of coconut oil, and Jamie went for the MX$70 Iced Buzz Latte with honey and a double espresso shot (Photo 9). Both perfectly satisfied because beyond the quality of the beans, we saw the exacting process they followed in their execution. It was a smooth brew in a chill space that was obviously attracting a lot of expats. I wish we had more time for a third visit.
