Over the years I've found that chiropractors are like mechanics - there are lots around, but some I feel I can trust more than others. Dr. Hetal has a range of knowledge that extends well beyond that of chiropractic. He has a desire to understand the cause as well as the symptoms. He sees a patient as a puzzle and the goal is to do the smallest intervention in exactly the right place so as the patient gets the best result. He prides himself on his precision. The clinic has a calm and relaxed feel to it. It does get busy but even when busy there is still an air of order. I have watched him work when he has had several patients at once and even though everyone gets all the time they need he seems to move with a relaxed deftness. There will always be better chiropractors around but Dt. Hetal's patience with children through to his extensive life knowledge that allows him to relate relatively complex chiropractic concepts to adults is fairly unique in my experience.

My husband who came with me for support also said how relaxing the Clinic is, and he's planning on getting a lymphatic drainage massage there next week. My Naturopath Amy Angus is so skilled and a genuinely lovely person. I could tell she really cared about my health and wellbeing. In my Initial Naturopath Consultation, she asked me to carry out various tests, including a Food Allergy and Intolerance Test, a SIBO test and a Heavy Metal Toxicity hair analysis. She prescribed me several supplements, which the Clinic stocked on their shelves, so I could start taking them straight away. I visited her again several weeks later, and she spent the whole consultation explaining my test results and coming up with a full plan of action for me. it felt so reassuring - I will definitely go back for the further 3 consultations she has recommended. I saw Jeremy Walker, their Hypnotherapist, later that same week, for help with my anxiety. I was a bit scared to do hypnosis and at first thought I would just do mindset therapy with him, but he is so reassuring and gentle that I felt comfortable to go ahead with being hypnotised. Let's just say - I already feel less stressed and anxious, and I'm going back for another session next week! I can't recommend Brisbane Livewell Clinic and its practitioners enough! Chi-link serves up acupressure massage, which can (for me) teeter on the line between pleasure and pain as it lends itself to a firmer massage. (Do get them to apply accupressure to your ears - that is divine!!) However, do not be afraid to speak up to the therapists if it's too firm for your liking. There are 3 locations inside the Cherminator, so you've got a great chance to walk - up & be attended to immediately by friendly staff. However, I have never been a fan of cracking my own neck and don't really enjoy someone else cracking my back for me. I was pleased that before there was any cracking of my neck or spine, there was a one on one consultation, and X-Rays taken of my spine from all angles. Afterwards, I was given a gentle neck crack for loosening but nothing too serious. A few weeks went by and then I was able to come back for my second appointment. Again, there was no cracking or manipulation, instead we analysed my X-Rays. As suspected, I had a number of issues - my head sits too forward, my hips are not aligned, my lower back is swayed and my spine curves slightly to the left. The suggested treatment would be twice weekly visits for 13 weeks for manipulation and retraining the muscles around my problem areas. Then another 13 weeks of once a week visits, where we would also focus on exercises I can do at home. The price for each visit is $65, however if I committed to the first 13 week treatment, at 2 visits a week and paid up front, the price drops to $50 a visit - $1,300 for 26 visits over 13 weeks. Although I haven't decided yet to go ahead with it, as I'm still not 100% confident about Chiropractic treatment, I was very impressed with the professionalism of this place. They aren't just there to crack and pop you and send you on your way, it feels like they actually know what they're talking about and spend the time to diagnose your issues before they lay a hand on your spine. They also have a really cool sign in system for regulars - thumbprint recognition! As I sat in the waiting room, a number of regulars walked straight in and placed their thumb on the sensor and TA-DA, they were signed in and next in line for a crack and pop.

He was my practitioner through both on my pregnancies and now also tends to my children when they are unwell. He is a great doctor for children and always goes out of his way to make them feel at ease - mine always leave with a huge smile on their faces. There have been a few instances over the years where Dr Ong has been unavailable and I have had to see other doctors, they are all very friendly and professional. I recommend this Centre to anyone new to the area or anyone just looking for a new GP. Most of the Doctors here bulk bill for regular patients which I find is very uncommon nowadays.
