This is my favorite laundromat. Everything works, it's clean and plenty of parking. Modern front loader machines work well - wash and rince and dry clothes within 1 hour. read more

This one means serious business, with numerous heavy duty washing machines and shiny dryers lined up on either side of the room. When I was there it wasn't exactly happening; I guess everyone had either already, very responsibly, completed their washing, or they all have washing machines in their homes. If some horrendous catastrophe occurred and I no longer had a working washer and dryer, I would complain a lot, then cart my washing to this place.

As soon as you pay, the machine is active and ready to run. The wifi worked well, and there are outlets for your laptop next to a desk at the window. There's also a big table for folding laundry, and a clever gadget to help you fold your sheets. You don't have to guess about dryer heats -- a sign above the dryers tells you the temperature of each setting. Washers are $4 each. Dryers are $1 for 8 minutes. There's one large washer -- I forget the price. Discounted prices are available certain hours, which are advertised on the notice board. The only problem I had was quickly resolved. I had tried to use the vending machine to buy detergent, but the coin slot was jammed. I was able to pay with a bill and get coins as change, but the coins I put in got stuck. I phoned the two help numbers -- the landline went to voicemail and I left a message, but the mobile number was answered right away. He said he'd come by in 15 minutes to look into the problem, and he did. Shortly thereafter, a lady returned my call to the landline. When the owner arrived, he cleared the jam (caused by a sticky 20 cent coin in the slot), gave me my lost coins back, and offered me anything I'd like from the machine. The laundromat is in a small shopping center with its own small parking lot -- a few spaces are available for laundromat customers. I never had trouble getting a spot. It's near enough to the Gabba that I was able to walk down and watch a few overs of a Sheffield Shield match while waiting for my clothes to dry. The owner told me that they hope to add a location near the CBD, if they can find a spot with reasonable rent. Spring Hill is a possibility. I hope they do, as there is a dearth of laundry options in the CBD other than overpriced hotel laundry service.

This one is located in the Centro Lutwyche shopping centre which is convenient for the locals who come here to do their grocery shopping. You'll find them at the entrance from the parking lot, just at the bottom of the escalators that lead to Coles. They provide a fast and reliable service and their prices are not too bad either. I recently got 3 winter jackets drycleaned with them which ended up costing $29.85, which I thought wasn't too bad for the quality. Alternatively, if you needed only one done, it would cost $15.20. So, ideally, you'd want to take advantage of 3 for $29.85. I've only ever noticed the same lady working there.
