Numerous award winning butchers that offer prime cuts of meat, fantastic mince and healthy plump chickens and eggs! Wonderful bakery that makes the best breads and pastry I have tried. Wonderful vegetables and fruit stands where you get can a serious deal on great vegetables. Cheapest and most authentic pick and mix selection I have ever seen Fish monger, show repair, tea shop, cafes, clothing and boot sale, cd shops, home repair, clothing alterations ... Even a room with a scale in it! Grainger Market is magical. A must see, I consider the market a tourist attraction because of how traditional it is. The shop also stocks a great range of vitamins and the staff are knowledgable and can point you in the right direction if you have any particular health issues. The shop also offers food intollerence testing every month or show (ring them for times and dates) which I personally found to be invaluable and has made a big difference to my life. On the downside, the products can be quite expensive but when you take into account the health benefits it is still well worth a visit, as products are often on offer. Is worth visiting just to pick up a copy of Holland and Barrett's acclaimed magazine Healthy for a mere £1.50 which includes money off coupons and health advice.

Morrison's also has a great selection of "free from" foods with gluten, dairy and wheat free products. The staff are friendly, there is a good in-house Café to eat at, and the store supports the local community well through a notice board and fund raising projects. The only thing stopping me giving this Morrison's 5 stars is the fact that I've regularly found it lacking in stock. Every day items often seem to be out of stock and not replenished quickly. That apart, it's my local Supermarket of choice and rarely disappoints.
