Very good cookies. Super warm and soft and gooey. We got the duo ultra, laranja, Ferrero and they were all delicious. Make sure to get a milk to go with the cookies. read more

I was on the hunt for coffee when I was staying in Vila Madalena and walked here one day. I had…read morejust arrived right before it started to down pour. I almost walked past the entrance from the street. They have a few different areas one could find a seat - every place had a covered ceiling so when it rains most every spot can be filled up. Lots of plants. I sat in the tiny room with the A/C with windows that faced the street - right behind the coffee bar. It kind of felt like I was inside a treehouse - it was nice to be there when it was raining outside. It was really peaceful I wish I had brought a book or my journal with me that day. When you walk inside through the glass doors, turn to your right and walk towards the coffee bar that looks like you're in a kitchen workspace. This is normal as this is where you will place your order. After you order, you can find your seat and it will be brought out to you. The entire space gives a semi-modernized artsy atmosphere. There is a larger space with sofa, accent chairs and tables near a bookshelf filled with different bags of coffee you could purchase as well as various coffee tools and accessories. They have more indoor/outdoor seating down the corridor you walk down when you first turn in from the street as well. Since I love espressos, I had to try the espresso tasting where they give you one small cup and one larger cup of espresso - both brewed the same way, just presented differently. Stir the smaller cup fast with the spoon and slower with the bigger cup. When you taste them, you will notice a difference as one will be more bitter and the other will have that fuller taste. I preferred the smaller cup as it had more of that dark espresso flavor. The staff are super friendly. There was someone there who helped me decide what to order and explained to me how to drink it when he had brought it out. It was also helpful that he knew a little bit of English. I wish I had came here more than just one time and I regret not buying a couple bags of coffee as the packaging is what drew me to the merch, but I was already overflowing with items in my suitcase.

Yelp Review 2025 #170:…read more This bakery in Liberdade is crowded and busy. Probably for a good reason. They have good pastries and other baked goods. Cookies, doughnuts, croissant rolls (ala Lafayette supreme croissants) which they call New York rolls, cakes, crepe cakes, macarons, sandwiches, canneles, doughnuts, brownies, chocolates, brigadeiro, matcha and yuzu goodies, soft serve ice cream and coffee. Once you walk in, grab a number from a gentleman by the door. It was super packed when I came here in the afternoon. I'm not going to lie, I was very overwhelmed by the crowd and checking out what they have. I grabbed a pistachio croissant roll and forgot to get what I really came here for: brigadeiro. Return your number to the same gentleman at the door before leaving. Their treats are cute and delicious. I was able to take a bite of the croissant roll before somebody bumped me and my croissant roll dropped to ground! Based on that one bite, it was pretty flaky and buttery and a good flavor of pistachio. I suggest coming here as soon as they open to avoid the crowd.

There are two rooms and a garden with cute and dainty set tables. The overall mood and decor of Teakettle is every tea party lover's fantasy; teacups and teapots in all colors and sizes, floral print everywhere, rustic chairs, and books. The food was nothing out of the ordinary though I do hope to go for the brunch special. The tea mixes were original and tasty, The service also left me wanting more; I don't know if the staff was new, in training or having a bad day (none of which are excuses really). If you love tea, then do not miss this!

It was basically super hot water with a slight coffee tint. It wasn't at all what I expected, but the barista said it's supposed to be that light and have a 'suave' taste. She indicated it was the nature of the roast from #fazendasantavirginia Additionally, they offer some vegan food options. I had the alho poró quiche and while the flavor of the leeks was good the actual texture was rather gelatinous kinda similar to the vegan quiche at #timelesscafe in Oakland, CA. I'm guessing it has to do with the vegan cheese. I think it would be better if they added something crispy like vegan bacon or crispy potatoes. Overall, it's a sweet, charming little cafe that is much needed in the area. Hopefully, the V60 (pour overs) will improve (with a finer grind and not such an extreme temperature) and maybe they can expand the vegetarian/plant-based food selection.
