Anyway, the station itself is rather nice, though it is basically the end of the line. Still, the trains do come here rather often, expecially during peak hour. Mind you, there isn't much around here, but it is basically a station where the train sits before heading in the other direction.

Okay, it certainly isn't a major station, but it does happen to be far enough out so that the only trains that don't stop here happen to be the V-Line trains. I'm not only to necessarily say it is a great station, but it is practical, even if not the most accessible, in the sense that you still have to manually cross the tracks as opposed to crossing by a walkway.

This is sort of an end of the line station, though you sort of can go further, but that would…read morebasically be on a steam train that doesn't run all that often. Anyway, the station it self is quite charming, located in the centre of town, and even though it is one of those sixties style buildings, it is pretty accessible, and has decent facilities as well. Trains are reasonably regular, but being an end of the line station does indicate that they aren't as regular as some.

This is a major interchange station in Melbourne, which means that trains are regularly coming…read morethrough here. So, of course, it is a boon for those who live in the area, especially since they can catch some express trains. The station itself is quite nice as well, capturing the old days of train travel. Yeah, I really do like this station, even if the local area isn't all that great.

Sometimes I wonder why they completely revamp a station in which relatively few trains actually…read morestop at. Well, this just happens to be one of those stations, namely because it seems that more trains shoot past here as express trains as opposed to actually stop, though I should note that a lot of these trains do happen to be V-Line. Anyway, this station has been completely revamp, though possibly also because there happens to be railyards to one side, so they do need to get the passengers across it somehow.

Anyway, I like railway stations and even though there is little that I can say about them, I like to at least leave some notes indicating that I have been through here. Anyway, Ringwood Station is a major interchange station at the confluence of two rail lines - to Lilydale and to Belgrave. There is also a major bus interchange here, and across the road is the Eastland shopping centre. They have actually revamped it quite recently, and at times you can even catch an express train to the city.

Toilets are cleaner than most and there is a staffed office. Limited exit and entry stalls make for slower arrival and departures at peak times. Lifts and ramps along with stairs to get up and down to the 3 platforms. One of the better stations on the network. Change here for Lilydale and Belgrave lines.

For a station that was built in 1890, it doesn't feel like it was. In fact, it feels as if it was…read morebuilt much later because the build just seems to be rather bland. Actually, I'm not sure how long this station is going to last because there happens to be a level crossing which they are slowly removing from Melbourne. I guess the one important thing about this station is that it is located near the Kooyong Tennis Club, which is where the Australian Open used to be held, but it isn't these days, ever since the construction of the Tennis Centre near the MCG.

A great suburban railway station has that 40's feel, a tad safer with a crossing guard house…read moremanned, protective service officers in the evening and a great location. Clean, with a good vibe, nice outlook and never crowded. Overall a great local station that I love living near and using and have never had an issue at the station. Hardly ever site troublemakers and be aware Vision Australia is opposite to be mindful of some people whay maybe Vision impaired, whilst they are familiar with the stop, offer a seat on the train if they board with you, some with their lovely guide dogs....

This was a rather quiet station, and in a way it is sort of one of those Melbourne stations that…read morereally doesn't need to exist because there are other stations within a short walk from this one. Still, for people that live in the area it can certainly be handy. The other thing is that trains don't always stop here, so I guess it is okay if you live further up the line, and don't have one of those stopping all stations trains, because you do effectively skip this one. Mind you, it isn't a premium station either, so basically it is just a shelter, a machine, and a screen that tells you when the next train comes along.
