Well kept, welcoming and full of interesting memorabilia, the Criterion failed to disappoint. Sure, I was spoiled for entertainment during Beef Week, but I am certain from the reviews of locals that this is a great spot for a hearty meal and a frosty beverage at any time. Despite the mad rush, my juicy, tender rump was presented to me in a timely manner, and my glass of Kilkenny was delicious to boot. The meal sizes are extremely generous, so I advise visiting on an empty stomach. The "Cri" is an excellent choice for an authentic Aussie meal, in the heart of Australia's beef growing region.
