Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park is another not to be missed destination in Australia. While getting there can be difficult and requires some planning, it is absolutely worth it. From feeding kangaroos to holding koalas for a nice period of time, to just exploring the wildlife park, it is all amazing. The workers are kind and welcoming. We bought a general ticket to this park and walked around on our own. They do informational presentations where they bring out an animal, talk about it, then let you pet it. We attended one for the python. Very cool. We also bought a bag of feed so we could feed the wallabys. They were so gentle. I loved when they put their little paw on my hand to steady themselves as they ate. We also attended the Koala experience. They open the gate and let you into the exhibit. Gently petting the koalas is allowed. There is a guide that shares information about the koalas and ensures the safety of the animals. This was a very cool park. We had a great time interacting with the animals. Loved the metal art throughout as well. read more

This a must see. We booked the private tour into the park. This is the best wild life tour I have ever been on. Shannon was our park tour guide. She so extremely knowledge and friendly explaining all about the animals. Her kindness and care to all the animals is truly humbling. All other staff we interacted with were super nice. Book a visit and if possible book a private tour. This place and people are amazing. read more

DO THE PRIVATE TOUR! Worth every single penny. Highlight of the trip. We had the best tour guide; his name was Billy. He was extremely knowledgeable and we could both tell he genuinely loves animals. The tour was just over 3 hours and probably would've gone longer if the park wasn't closing for the night. In those three hours, we got to hold a baby koala, hold a wombat, feed wallabies and roos, hang with the penguins in their enclosure, feed quokkas, hold a dingo, and learn about the countless other animals they house. The owners and staff have poured all their time and money into making this park as much as a natural habitat for the animals as possible. A lot of the animals they house have been injured or lost parents and would not have survived without their help. They release some of them back into the wild when the time is right - very respectable. Would come back here in a heartbeat! read more
