Super nice inside. Food was delicious. I had basil vegetable fried rice. Wonderful! Rest of my party had vegetables and chicken in brown sauce. Forget the name. Delicious! Others had chicken pad Thai which they loved. The Thai donuts were the bomb and they brought us out a special treat on the house. Berry sauce on custard. Delicious. Also had a Thai tapico dessert which the server said was a very traditional dessert in Thailand. Different but quite good. Highly recommend. Lovely soothing music and atmosphere. I've only been here once so far,and loved everything about this place!The decor is nice and contemporary,which is unusual for Thai restaurants especially in the area,it gives the place a slight downtown feel.I came in during lunch time and unfortunately was the only table in the restaurant (people need to know what they're missing out on!),the waitress was nice,attentive and smiled all the time (another thing you don't see much in Thai restaurants).Food was fresh,delicious and generously portioned-I couldn't finish the whole thing-the lunch came with a salad and spring rolls.All for $8.95!Another charming detail-the tiny paper (thin cardboard) boxes/buckets with metal handles they give you for your leftovers,so cute!Once the waitress noticed that I put all the onion pieces on the side,she double checked if I ordered my dish with no onion(which I didn't,I just changed my mind while eating),and I greatly appreciated,it made me feel that she cared.I will definitely come back again and again,I wish I discovered this great restaurant sooner! read more

What a superb place!!! This was our first visit to Kao Thai and we are wonderfully impressed. Decor is a thoughtful, artistic blend of both new and re-purposed materials, thoughtfully and tastefully intermingled, providing an atmosphere of imaginative fusion in details, adding to a soft and soothing energy; it works well. As another poster noted, the tables have a softer surface, adding a subtle touch to the softness and low key feeling of the environment. The service was wonderfully attentive; our server, Nat , was gracious, knowledgeable and provided thoughtful and understandable descriptions of menu items, from appetizers, through entrees and, importantly for me, desserts! We were offered and shared Fire Cracker Shrimp, delightful and succulent; steamed shiitake dumplings,savory with slightly sweet soy dip, Thai pork jerky, marinated, seared and tender. Oh my, each provided its own subtle and unique flavor and taste experience. Entree's; Shrimp in the Pot, an amazing melding of flavors, textures and eye appeal, Pad Med Mamuang, delightful and flavorful stir fry. Each of our entrees provided a flavor extravaganza; subtle taste combinations and with notable individuality. Dessert, Panna Cotta with mixed Berries (fruit puree sauce), great texture and taste, sweet and silky, savory and smooth, it was delightful. Chief Pla delighted us by coming to the dining area to converse and ask our thoughts on our meals. The food is impressive; flavorful with presentations above the expected norm. Foods have unique flavors, ingredients creatively combined in ways that work very well; all served in an atmosphere conducive to calm enjoyment. While the dining area may be of modest size, the service provided is splendid, and the food presented absolutely marvelous. Where we pleased? Yes! One of the better dining experiences I've had. The atmosphere, service and food was all 10/10. Don't let the plaza fool you, this place is amazing. I had the vegetable roll and shrimp soup to start, they were both every fresh and had excellent flavor. For the entree I had the pad Thai, which was some of the best I've ever had. Finally an upscale Thai restaurant in Florida that has a beautiful, fresh interior that sparkles with creative decorative touches. The food presentation is beautifully done, and the tastes are delicious. The selections are true to the Thai tradition, with specialty as well as traditional items to sample. Our fresh roll appetizer was served with the best peanut sauce I have ever tasted, and the fresh greens had a bit of mint that rang true to the name. The owners are from Chiang Mai and Phuket areas, and they have menu selections from both places. We have returned several times, and are sampling many dishes and have been blown away by each one, making it difficult to choose a favorite. Make sure you save room for their coconut ice cream served with a surprising touch that will make you want to return for a dessert only night. read more

Tried the pad see aiw noodles , good portion. Mild is a bit spicy but it's a Thai place so the spice level is a bit higher. I started off with food delivery via food now, and I have gone inside. My wife and I have been regulars since this restaurant opened. They took over space of another restaurant that recently moved to a larger building. This is not your average Thai restaurant. Food is delicious with upscale presentation, attentive staff, clean and modern dining room. Each month the chef presents a special item not on the normal menu. Went with a large group of 12 and the service was perfect. The food was excellent, especially the surprising fried dumplings. Very understated interior, quiet enough so you can actually have a conversation. It's only been open 5 months, and I hope it makes it. This place is fantastic in every way. I work in the area and a coworker brought us takeout a few months back. The food was delicious and fresh, and you can't beat the prices on the lunch specials. I finally got a chance to actually eat there, and the ambiance is wonderful - very relaxing and clean. The service was excellent too. We have been wanting to try this place for a while now. I am so glad we did. The food is very different and delicious! We started out with the garden rolls. They came with a tasty peanut sauce. I had the Salmon Ga Prow with their signature basil sauce. A touch of sweetness and a kick of heat. The best Thai sauce I have ever had. If you don't like spice you may want to ask them to go light. I had asked for mine over veggies instead of rice. It was so flavorful. A nice blend of fresh stir fried veggies. My friend had the Pad Pak with crispy tofu. He raved about it! We ended with the black sticky rice with coconut sauce and topped with mango. YUMMY! Our server was so sweet and helpful. Outstanding service. The presentation of each dish makes it so appealing Our server told us about their summer specials too.Mon-Thurs for $9.95. They have a few appetizer deals as well for $5.00.
