What used to be the home of Marikina's father of shoe-making, Don Laureano Guevarra, now houses a restaurant, Café Kapitan, and several event halls.
I have to admit that I haven't eaten yet at Café Kapitan but I've had memorable experiences in some of Kapitan Moy's event halls.
When I attended a summer art workshop many years back, the sessions were held in one of the halls in the first level. It was one of the smaller halls, but it was big enough for us to run around the room and lie down on the floor.
A few years after that art workshop, one of our relatives celebrated her birthday in that one big hall on the second level. I tell you, we are one big clan but we all got seated comfortably. There was even a stage (or at least a space serving as one) where the celebrant was seated and where presentations were held.
Also, Kapitan Moy and Café Kapitan both accept wedding reception reservations. Cafe Kapitan caters for events and you can use either the restaurant as venue or the second floor event hall. read more
