I have even contacted her and spoke to her personally about some of my concerns with my daughter and she offered good solutions all while keeping me in a positive state of mind. I appreciate her more than she knows and I wanted to share that with you. You have an excellent employee! Thank you, Lynn Upton

If you are looking for a tutor, I would not advise going through Varsity Tutors. You'll be…read morepressured to sign up for the most expensive tutoring package they can squeeze out of you (due to the pressure their sales force is under to "close" as quickly as possible) and will find it nearly impossible to cancel your contract. They try to bury their negative reviews by using unethical software that cherry picks the best ones. They couldn't possibly have many good reviews -- since they pay their independent contractor tutor "experts" who are also encouraged to lie about their credentials and use Nerdy AI to support sessions $18 an hour. With that said, you can really do just fine for free for most of your tutoring needs using Chat GPT. Anyway -- I worked for VT for six months. I was lied to every step of the way regarding earnings, bonuses, their mission, their commitment, etc. They also encourage their sales people to lie starting on Day 1 -- faking education credentials so their "credibility statement" will be likely to be trusted to warm leads who don't realize they are about to be scammed out of hundreds or thousands of "committed" dollars. I was the real deal. I have a PhD in English, a 20+ year history of teaching at the college level, and really thought we were there to help people -- not make our managers their monthly bonus or ensure their managers get the December "Vacation weekend" at a tropical location. Gosh, I offered many times to help redesign their training so my peers wouldn't be dropping like flies, so it wasn't so rushed, so sickeningly fast-paced we couldn't think straight, and with so much rushed pressure to be promoted and make more money! Started drinking alcohol regularly (packed on ten chubby pounds) just to combat the toxic vibe and chronic fear we were "striking out" if not closing sales with impossibly hyped, entirely unrealistic goal numbers given how many sales people are employed. The turnover and mass lay offs are outrageous, so expect not to last unless lying to protect your own selfish interests is your speciality. Also expect to receive intimidating requests to complete work for free that you were unable to do in a timely manner (not because you're slow but because the frenetic pace is the DESIGN). There's no paid time provided to process what you've just learned -- and then you have to complete lengthy evaluations and also catch up on trainings on your own dime. Also, good luck thinking you're working on good company hardware even when promoted to a Senior Sales Consultant. It's a Mac Air. The Mac Air is designed for CASUAL use at best (probably costs them $50 a laptop), and yet Live Learning Technologies (Varsity Tutors is just one loser company owned by money-grabbing Chuck Coen) uses some of the most energy-gobbling Communication System software on the planet. The operating system crashes constantly, but you'll be blamed for that -- unless it's a month they can't afford to pay bonuses, in which case the glitchy management tracking software will be blamed and gosh darn it, they just can't confirm how many calls you took. You also have to provide your OWN ethernet cable. My manager actually blocked me from being able to email him through documentation I could prove. Had to take screenshots on Slack. Literally, it's Middle School level shenanigans there -- right down to them calling United Health Care the SAME DAY they fired me -- lying and telling them I'd found insurance elsewhere so I wouldn't have health insurance through the end of the month. Well, heck, that's actually illegal. I reported them, but no one apparently cares since the company is still in business. I really did try to ride it out for that six figure promise, but toxic management (my managers both said they pride themselves on forcing "Toxic Positivity" in group channels) made the workplace intolerable for me. It was bad enough working with that shoddy computer equipment (the 15" Mac Air is so tiny you have to buy your own monitor). I mean, c'mon. What company can't afford to send a large monitor to handle the multi-screen requirements of a remote job or an ethernet cable to ensure a wired connection that would minimize call drops? My first laptop with them even had the wrong software on it. It was disheartening to work for a company that rushes everyone to the point of frantic fear, encourages falsification of credentials in scripted conversations, and invites staff to lie about their employment to the very tutors we are encouraged to work with.   Varsity Tutors also employs a highly unethical and trust-destroying goal/bonus structure that doesn't roll out at the very beginning of each month and keeps sales agents questioning their earnings up to the week before bonuses are adjusted/earned/denied. Wanna know how I got my first of Behavioral Warning? My manager told me to keep quiet about design flaws, errors, and insufficient time to complete a new Flex training. Right. Dr. Kimberly Free

Axios personalized approach to education, and selfless staff, consistently went far above just "tutoring". Their team took a personal interest in our kid from day one. The level of professionalism and overall excellence we experienced at Axios is something that is not common and should be publicly recognized. Specifically, I would like to acknowledge two members of their staff; Antonio and Bridgette . They are both wonderful human beings that are VERY good at what they do. Antonio has a special gift of being able to connect with our daughter to get her to understand difficult concepts. Whether it was last minute help for Algebra or preparing for an AP test in Calculus, he had a special ability to calm her's anxieties. I was consistently amazed to see the transformation of her demeanor after sessions. Without exception, after an hour with Antonio, Our daughter would leave with confidence and a solid knowledge of the subject. Similarly, She was blessed to have worked with Bridgette. They are like-minded. Like Antonio, Bridgette seemed to take a personal interest in her and it showed in their connection. Her approach to writing and developing/organizing thoughts is a skillset that she will take with her throughout college and beyond. Finally, I want to thank Manjri. She took a family with no knowledge of how to handle a girl with our daughter's gifts and aspirations and guided us along this journey. From a business perspective, she could not have been more responsive. From a personal level, she never failed to deliver on our most ridiculous, last minute requests. As an organization, Axios stands alone in a sea of options. As a direct result of your team's support of our kid, she was able to: - Maintain a near perfect GPA. - Achieve her goal of being her high school's. Valedictorian. - Through formalized training via Axios, Jessie increased her SAT scores substantially and was able to achieve her targeted score. - Gained entrance to all of her top choices for college - UVA, Case Western and The Schreyer School at PSU - each, with academic scholarships. In summary, We will always be a glowing reference for Axios, your staff, and Manjri personally. I cant state loudly enough how happy we were with our choice to work with their team. I look forward to continuing our friendship as Our younger daughter starts high school.
