It's never busy whenever I come in, and they also offer drive-thru pickup (even though I haven't used it yet, it's nice to have the option). It is a scary thing to be diabetic and without access to public bathrooms when you're out and about so thank you for that. I did enjoy receiving coupons from my visit today. I was able to receive $6.17 in rewards and $4 in coupon to use for another purchase. Now that saved me money on my Cocoa Puffs cereal! I am a happy camper. What made it stressful was the self check out process. There was a specific ATM that you had to go to if you were paying cash. If you were redeeming a coupon, you must make sure to use the proper Rewards account if not, it will not work. My problem with self check out is the fact that there's only one person available cashing everyone out in the whole building so when you have an issue in self checkout, if that person is busy you end up having to wait anyways for service. I might as well have just stayed in line at the register that had a human helping so that I could've left a lot quicker rather than trying to do it myself and then still needing the help anyways. Self checkout is a hit or miss for me. I see how it can be convenient. But when the system detects an error, it becomes more of an inconvenience when you have to wait for someone to approve your purchase.

After about 5 minutes, the Physician called me back for the shot. The Physician was very kind and asked which arm would I prefer the shot. She did let me know I may feel some pain for a few days which made me get the shot in my right arm, if not, I may have chosen the left arm. As she performed the preparation and administered the shot, she explained everything she was doing. She told me what I may feel afterwards like flu like symptoms. There was a local customer in front of me who handed the cashier a $100 bill, and she did NOT run his money through the counterfeit machine. When it was my turn, she immediately ran my $100 bill through the machine. The difference? I'm not a local and I'm a Black male. I calmly pointed out the inconsistency and said something about it. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, the cashier laughed it off. I then asked to speak with the manager. The manager came over, sided with the cashier, and when I clearly stated that this felt like racial profiling, he got loud with me instead of de-escalating or taking the concern seriously. So let me get this straight--after being treated differently based on who I am, the response from management is to raise their voice at the customer? That's how Walgreens handles concerns about discrimination? This was embarrassing, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. No one should be treated this way for simply questioning unequal treatment. Do better, Walgreens.

I was once charged $41 for a $14 transaction. Thankfully, I kept my receipt so when I noticed it on my card statement, I was able to go back and get it corrected. It was a very annoying process cuz the 4 workers were asking me which register I was at and who cashed me out - like I was supposed to remember. The issue was resolved tho!

They close at 1:30 to 2 PM for lunch. So I decided to do some shopping, to pass for 30 minutes I had to wait.
