After 9 months still suffering... 0 star…read more I hired Peter Viles to represent two of my close relatives for their asylum cases. My experience with him was extremely disappointing and stressful from start to finish and he lost both cases. When I first retained him, my relatives had just been detained by CBP, and we had no news of them for 18 days. Mr. Viles assured me that he could locate them through his contacts and provide updates, which turned out to be completely false -- he had no way to reach CBP or obtain that information. We eventually found out on our own that they had been transferred into ICE custody and sent to a detention center. He sent me Form I-589 to complete, and while I filled out most of it myself, the few sections he handled were filled with mistakes -- incorrect general information and a poorly written case summary. When I asked him to fix the errors, he dismissed my concerns and said they were "cosmetic," which was absolutely not true. Throughout the entire process, he was disorganized, unresponsive, and unprofessional. He rarely answered phone calls or text messages, leaving the clients in uncertainty and distress. He submitted documents with incorrect information and failed to correct them even after multiple requests. His lack of attention and care created serious problems for both cases. During the final court hearing for one of the cases, his internet disconnected, and he did not even attempt to properly speak up or defend the clients. He appeared uninformed about the clients' country of origin and current immigration issues. When I asked him to pursue an additional hearing, he told me to "let it go and be finished." He contacted my detained relatives only twice, and I had to visit his office multiple times just to get him to communicate with them. If you care about your loved ones and their future, do not hire Peter Viles. He is careless, unorganized, and irresponsible. He failed to review or use the information I provided, ignored calls and messages, and left us in chaos. Hiring him was one of the worst decisions I have ever made.

His handling of my case was negligent, unprofessional, and put my future as a U.S. citizen at risk. Here are the major issues I experienced: * It took over 6 months for Mr. Viles to file my application, despite having the necessary documents early in the process. I had to constantly follow up just to get updates or make sure anything was being done. * When the application was finally submitted, it contained major factual errors: * My marital history was incorrect. * My son's name and date of birth were completely omitted. * My current wife's details were missing or inaccurate. * Several of my international trips were either left out or had the wrong dates. * He also failed to properly address my past arrests, delaying the collection of court dispositions and not explaining what was needed or how it would impact my case. When I pointed out these errors and asked him to refile the corrected application and cover the new filing fee, he refused -- despite the fact that the mistakes were entirely on his end. In the end, I had no choice but to retain a different attorney to clean up the damage and move my case forward correctly. I believe I wasted both time and money working with Mr. Viles and would strongly caution anyone considering him for an immigration matter. If your immigration future is important to you, I would advise looking elsewhere for competent legal help.

I tried five different attorneys before meeting Mr. Chung. Although the other attorney's were promising they did not meet my expectations. Fortunately for me I found Mr. Chung. Mr. Chung is different from the other attorneys I tried. Not only did he handle my immigration case in a very professional way but he was also very good about responding to my questions quickly. In addition to this, Mr. Chung spent a lot of time with me examining my case and helping me discover my strongest arguments for my statement. I'm confident enough in Mr. Chung's abilities to recommend (based on my own experience as asylum seeker) him to others who really want to get their immigration cases taken care of in a professional manner. Although I understood that there were no guarantees, I truly believe Mr. Chung gave me with the best possible chance to get my application approved and thankfully it did get approved. I believe that he will not only meet your expectations, but also exceed your expectations should you choose him to represent you.
