This is a hidden gem. Albeit not a long course, but I wasn't looking for one. The greens are…read moreamazing. Fairways are cut perfectly. The Bermuda grass roughs can be challenging. The sand traps were very well maintained. The staff was friendly. And all of this for $30 for a senior, with cart, during the week. Check it out!

Its short, but everyone knows that. It's great if you are a beginner, or struggling and just need to play and gain confidence. Wide open as you will find in this area (besides Brevofield). The new greens are nice, the grass is great, and the course is just in great shape right now. That said, I haven't been here for awhile and decided to go for a solo afternoon round in the Carolina heat. I called ahead and the lady said they weren't too busy. I stopped in and it was just past 3pm on a Saturday. Zebulon charged me $54 for a 3pm solo round. My jaw dropped when I heard that number. Had I not just drove from another course that was booked up, I would never pay that. In past, I've done twilight rounds for as low $13 - $20, but this was insanity. To top it off, the carts are ... ok, but pretty bad compared to area courses. No GPS, gas powered, and a little ragged to be honest. I enjoyed the course itself, but the price right now is unbelievably ridiculous. Save your money. Go to The River Golf in Louisburg for the same (or lower) price, better practice facilities, better carts, and a more average length course.

It is…read morelocated in the same shopping center as Strike & Barrel, Over the Falls, and Dollar General. The shopping center has a large parking lot, but finding a spot has become more challenging. So thankfully, there is street parking and the town parking lot across the street. In the last few years, the Renaissance Centre hasn't had as much variety in performances. The same acts seem to come back year to year rather than getting different performers. They have murder mysteries, comedy acts, storytelling, magic acts, concerts, a film festival, and children's acts. The seating is in office chairs, usually at floor level, which worked better with staggered seats with the sides on angles, as the view was better. Now all the rows are straight, and the chairs are directly behind the others. Some events use round tables, while others use risers to create stadium seating, so they are trying to create a better experience. I hope the upcoming season has some new shows.

The staff, both the paid employees and the volunteer staff, made me feel welcome and appreciated for being there. Sight lines for the stage are good from all angles, and audio was at the right levels. I also appreciated that there's an actual parking lot, instead on only curbside parking or paid parking lots. Having said that, it is part of a shopping center and arriving when the doors open is a good way to get the better parking spots.
