I've always liked Karen Millen but can't say I've ever LOVED it. They do that high-end fashion thing of making both beautiful clothes and clothes that are expensive but genuinely look tacky...in my humble opinion but then who am I to talk in my H&M leggings?
The reason for the whopping five stars is specifically for this store and one lovely lady in particular...a sales assistant named Vicky.
I popped in yesterday in a panic as I have a wedding to attend on Saturday and haven't yet bought myself a dress. I was not in the mood for shopping and feeling very uninspired so just grabbed a few things and then vetoed them all.
On my way out the changing room I bumped into the lovely Vicky who took the whole lot off me with an "Oh no, no, no, none of these are right for you!", asked what the occasion was, disappeared and reappeared quick as a flash with a dress that I didn't like AT ALL. SO not my style but she begged me to try it on and seemed so nice I obliged.
OMG it was gorgeous! I wouldn't have picked it up in a thousand years yet once I had it on I adored it. Completely different to anything I've ever bought, very classic and elegant with a hint of '50s pin-up girl. She did me proud.
Hold on, I hadn't looked at the price tag...
"How much is this dress?" I asked,
"£210" came the shocking reply!
"But it's just gone into the sale and now it's £60"
...WHAT!!!!? Sold!
Girls, if you're ever in this store and need some help ask for Vicky - she's a genius! read more
