History

Established in 1983.

Karen Mullen has photographed professionally since 1983, since graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism through the University of Missouri. She worked with stock photography for 14 years, then began specializing in portraiture in 1997. She now teaches at Whatcom Community College and Skagit Valley College in continuing education and she teaches privately. Karen is a Certified Professional Photographer (one of only 21 in Washington State), and earned a Fellowship of Photography degree in 2011 through the Professional Photographers of Washington.

Karen Mullen is a certified professional photographer. Karen has a three-fold photography business involving photo tours, photography education and portrait photography. Karen leads Northwest Photo Journeys and takes groups on tours of the Pacific Northwest, all the while learning photography and enjoying the beauty around us. Karen also teaches photography and photo imaging, privately and at both Whatcom Community College and Skagit Valley College. Karen also sells her photography for interior decor. Karen has been a professional photographer since 1983, after graduating from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
