He was right, I think - The food was quite good and fresh made. The Flammkuchen was really nice for me, and everyone else liked what they got. The soup (vegetable beef or something) was particularly good. So, a fine lunch, but the thing that sets Cafe Loreley Konditorei apart is absolutely the deserts. The "cake bar" is full of some amazing looking stuff that tastes just as good as it looks. Orange-zest creme, cherry cheese cake (nom nom), all sorts of awesome. I really, really suggest it for cake. Oh, and some icing on that cake - they have a few nice local wines. So yeah, if you're near by, go on in. It's worth it.

Annabatterie offers a variety of baked goods as well as small eats, coffee and tea, and even some alcoholic beverages. They also offer patrons a nice outdoor area, weather permitting. It is nice finding places like this in Mainz's neustadt and not littered with tourists in the old city. Either way, this place would make a killing.
