The field is literally beside the barn and you can see the beautiful tall sunflowers growing in the distance! I have never actually seen where my flowers are coming from. The owners gave me some sunflower leaves and I got to feed the goats, did I mention they love sunflower leaves. They were gobbling it up! They also sell organic range free eggs, such beautiful colors. Best omelette I've made, such fresh eggs really makes a difference. I can't stress it enough, those little tomatoes were ammmaaazing. Real flavors fresh from the farm ,I was able to meet and talk to the actual farmers and ask where my food was really coming from. Not something you can do in a big chain grocery store. Plus the berries were delicious of course, as were the corn, watermelon, and tomatoes we bought at the farm stand and all really affordable! I'd recommend going at a slower time - we got there at about 10:00 on a Saturday and by 11:00 it started getting crowded. For the first hour it was easy to avoid other families, and get lost in picking out our berries, but when it got crowded it became a little harder, but not impossible to stay spaced out. Plus only 45 minutes from DC, it's a nice get-out-of-the-house, forget about COVID, and get-out-of-the-city activity, and you could even do it with friends you are distancing from and spread out while picking. And bonus - they plant and give to Maryland Food Bank. We plan on going regularly until the season ends, for sure.

It's a great experience and worth the drive if you're coming from MD or DC. Coffee, farm goodies, live music, baked goodies, crafts/arts, juice, plants, and so much more. You'll find it here. In closing, you get what you pay for. If we don't support local farms and businesses they won't exist and our only options will be hand picked for us. It's a farm market so you will see vendors selling similar items..... because it's a farm market :) Vote with your dollars support the local economy.

Autumn hay rides, pumpkin patch and pick your own apple/peach orchard were a staple of the late summer and fall seasons. Festival foot long half smokes on the side porch, organic local fruits and veggies, every local mason jar good imaginable, homemade (pumpkin!) ice cream and apple cider donuts. Alas, it went the way of the generic suburban housing development sprawl in the name of "progress". Too political? Cherry Hill Farms, you are often remembered!
