My hairdresser, Linda, recently moved to this delightful salon and spa in Plantation. In addition to being very clean, it has great access to 595. It's beautiful inside. I like the light, airy atmosphere with the private services toward the back for a nice serene experience. I highly recommend them! I've followed Linda to do my hair color for a very long time and she is consistently excellent in giving my hair a modern look with highlights that I constantly get compliments on. Was treated to a spa day here and had the best experience! Upon first entering, was greeted and checked in by the friendly and lovely staff, who offered water while we waited. I had the massage, mud bath, and collagen facial booked. The spa is super cute and clean. Upon being brought back, I started with the massage. The massage room is super cool, and really set the vibe for the massage. They had cool lights on the ceiling that looked like outer space and a heated mat on the table to keep you warm and cozy. The massage itself was really nice and felt like it went on forever which I loved. Almost fell asleep a few times haha. After the massage I was given a robe and brought into the mud bath room. This was a surprise experience so I wasn't aware I needed a bathing suit for the mud bath, but the staff provided little towels to keep my modesty and not have to get my clothing wet for the bath. They did the collagen facial while I was in the mud bath which was convenient, but it wasn't really a facial like I'm used to. They mostly just wiped some stuff on my face and put a face mask sheet on my face, nothing special. The mud bath was really nice and relaxing though and made me feel super smooth and nice after. The staff was all very professional and made me feel cozy and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning. They also use the high end skin care products I use at home so that's a plus (I believe it's extra for them in the services). My hip flexors have been so tight that my glutes, lower back and hamstrings have been absolutely angry at me and my shoulder has been bothering me just as much. After a good run here I've decided to cancel my monthly membership. While the quality of service is great, I can't get past constantly waiting for my scheduled appointments. Just because someone "famous" or with more money than me shows up late doesn't mean that I should just be happy sitting around for an extra half an hour, sometimes more, for my scheduled appointment. While the poor girl up front is left to apologize and ask if there's anything she can do, management should be holding people accountable for their actions. I will no longer be making Karma Seven my home base for all things salon related. It was a good run but multiple "lates" don't sit well with me. I booked a Valentine's day package for my girlfriend, which was supposed to include a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, and blow-dry. On the day of the appointment, she only got the massage and facial. Enven worse, the masage therapist was disingaged and rude. After 4 hours, they told my girlfriend that they could not complete the rest of the services. That were all already prepaid! When she requested a refund, they gave her a list of excuses why they did not how to do it. To be gracious, she offered to re-book for a later date. Now, two days have to be spent to receive the services that should have been performed in one. To top it all off, despite leaving a generous prepaid tip, one of the ladies approached my girlfriend and rudely asked her if she "was going to give her a tip or not?!" One of the best experiences I have ever had. My husband surprised me with a beautiful package to pamper myself. Every experience here was amazing. Dave - the masseuse. So nice, so good at his job. Very personable. He tackled the areas that were hurting moreso than others. He was very attentive to my requests (i.e. he did not just do a generic massage, he made sure to see what worked best for me and my needs). Overall wonderful experience with a person who does a great job! Tanya - facial. Extremely friendly, gentle, kind, and knows what she is doing. she can either walk you through everything she does or not, up to you. but she is very knowledgeable. she makes sure the facial steamer is not too hot for you and just to your liking. I felt rejuvenated after her facial, and my skin still feels smooth. Haija - Mani Pedi. Haija is a spunky 20 year old who will chat with you the entire time and also does an awesome job. These days, a regular mani never lasts long. The chipping is rampant. But Haija's manicure has lasted me almost a week which is unheard of these days for me. She is very nice and kind. She really is talented at what she does. Edwin - Shampoo. Edwin is a very nice quiet man. he took the time to shampoo my hair and really work his fingers into it. I told him I liked hot water, and he made sure the water was nice and hot for me. Marcelo - Hair. An exquisite soul! Marcelo is so nice and sweet. I was so excited to get my hair done and do some thing different and for me, And now I've never felt uglier. I've been holding off on writing this review but I just can't stop thinking about that day. Every time I look in the mirror it's a constant reminder. He knows I wasn't happy with how it came out. I am so upset with my hair!! I went in yesterday with blonde hair and walked out with hair that is drab and reminds me of mud:(. I went because I had my hair cut once here awhile back and it was a good cut. I went in and asked for chunky lowlights. I showed the hairdresser 3 pics of the effect I wanted to achieve. I have had them done before and loved them (by a different hairdresser/salon). This time, I am horrified by what I got. One side looks ok, but the other side and back do not. When my husband saw me, he was shocked and said what the hell?! My friends were honest and said it looks nothing like the pics and that it looks ashy dark gray/muddy. In the very front, there is a whole inch of uncolored hair!!! I told him I pull it up a lot. Now, I won't be able to do that for a long time. The cut is layered and one side is longer than the other with lots of uneveness in the same layers. When I pulled it through the flat iron, it is quite noticeable. I paid A LOT of money to have my hair ruined. $240!!! I'm so upset I could cry! Needless to say, I will not be going back here:( read more

Had an amazing and deeply relaxing massage with Orly last time I was at Karma. This time I got Dave, who is also one of the owners, he was just as amazing and does exactly what you want and extracted what your body needs! Also had THE BEST pedicure of my life with Nina!! I've been struggling with an ingrown toe nail for over a year and have been told by several nail techs that I need to go to a podiatrist to have it removed. Within 3 mins of me telling Nina about it, it was GONE and I didn't even know she was doing it! NO PAIN!! On top of that, my feet have NEVER felt so soft!! Paint job was also on point!! This review is based on my massage. I had a stressful holiday last week and I needed to unwind. I forgot some businesses were closed the day after Christmas. Curious I sent a Facebook message to see if they were closed after I tried calling. They were but was able to schedule an appointment for late afternoon the next day. Found out later on it was the owner I was contacting via FB. So I decided in getting a deep tissue with hot stones. I get to the place the next day and it is nice. I fill out the usual paper work before you get a message and it was not long before my masseuse Rose came out to greet me. The room going in was huge. It had 2 beds and a tub. Light was low with the sound of calming music with LED candles and Himalayan Salt Lamp. Now down to the massage. Rose is awesome. She focused on the most difficult areas of my body. Also had a little education as well. The more stress you go through the more knots you have. Especially around the upper body and shoulder blades. Communication is key between you and the masseuse to let you know how pressure you like or don't like. And she made sure to do that. The hot stones were not too hot and not warm. They were just right. In conclusion my message experience and customer service was amazing and I'm definitely considering coming back when my finances allows. I walked out like a limp noodle. I love this place!! Have been there twice and the way they take their time is amazing! Need to try their facial next time.

I visited this spa after a groupon deal for couples massage and hydrotherapy/mud treatments. I was really excited about the treatments and explained to them when I arrived that we had both had massages before but never had hydrotherapy or mud treatments. The owner himself does the massages along with another nameless lady (not Laura as she has messaged me such). The spa is nice, and there is a hair salon in the front, and the treatments are done in smaller rooms in the back. Massages: Good. No complaints. 3 stars. The room was large, dim lighting, and nice soft music. Nothing you couldn't get at any other spa. NOTE: They did all the treatments in street clothes (jeans and random t-shirt). :-( After $350 in treatments I was never offered water and had to request it. Check out the nice fresh/healthy food restaurant next door. Hydrotherapy/mud treatment: The process was not explained to us enough so we knew what to expect. I think that if you are going to be nude or nearly nude in front of a stranger the process should be explained in GREAT step-by-step detail BEFORE disrobing, seriously. I didn't really get that here. He started to tell me about a paper bikini bottom, but really when there's water, mud, and two scrubs, how long would that last or would it make a difference? Anyway, after our massages, my fiance stayed in one room with the female masseuse to get a citrus scrub down and then hydrotherapy, but I had to ask her what scrub he was getting, and how long each process was going to be, etc. so he would know what to expect (I knew he wasn't going to ask himself) and he told me there was an awkward moment later when he was confused about if he should be nude, or partial, or what, no one told him. My treatment felt nice physically, but the comfort/relaxation level was pretty much ZERO on a 1-10 scale. Since I had never used this type of machine before, I thought Dave would help me at first and then I'd be on my own in the machine for most of the process, but it wasn't like that at all. I don't know what I was thinking lol. There's a huge pod that you have to get in that provides steam to open your pores, and water to rinse off your treatments. The hydrotherapy/mud treatment went like this in a very small well-lit room (like the ones where you get a wax treatment at a Chinese nail salon): (1) Dave helps you in machine (think tanning bed but with water) and you have on at the most, a paper bikini bottom or no bottom, lie down face up, and he closes top of machine down on you (2) machine provides steam treatment to open pores (3) Dave opens top, and gives you towel to pat down, watching and making sure you remove enough water (4) Dave rubs scrub all over your body (chest optional, no thanks) (5) Dave helps you down again, closes top, water from machine rinses you off, and if you don't get it all of Dave helps rinse you off (6) repeat steps 1-5 with another scrub, then again with mud I think the "pretty much butt naked in front of a male stranger in a well-lit room while he rubs me down" part didn't allow me to really relax and enjoy the hydro treatment as much as I wanted to even though it was nice and my skin was lovely and relaxed after. There was no music or anything, and I couldn't help but lie there and think, oh no, how much time before I have to be butt naked again?! It just seemed like, wow there has to be a better way to do this, no? I felt like we should've had dinner and hard drinks first (on him) LOL! Overall, I did tip him well because I am a great tipper, he did his best, he was nice, and it is a business, but I would NEVER get this type of treatment done again unless it was by someone's 80-year-old half blind grandma (or at another spa where it seems you're not super exposed). :-) read more

Hands down the best massage I've had in my life! The massage therapist Dave knows what your body needs and the spots in your back that require extra attention. I was uncomfortable before my massage because I drove 21 hours straight from up North. After my massage my body felt relaxed and all my tension from the trip was gone. My laser girl moved to this salon and I have to say, I was blown away when I walked through the door. Every single staff member that walked by asked if I needed anything to drink, if I had any questions or if they could help me with something. Visited this spa and got the mud wrap which was a gift. This was my first wrap and I loved it!!! They have this "capsule" you go in which will steam you and rinse off the mud as well so you never have to get up and shower or anything. I forget my therapists name but she was wonderful! Usually I choose female masseuses, but he is very professional and made me feel comfortable. You will literally melt away in his hands. Next, Tonya does an amazing facial and foot massage! I am vacationing and purchased the ultimate relaxation spa package. I arrived early, was offered tea and water. Rose provided my Swedish massage and it was the best massage I've ever received, she let me be quiet and checked in with me regularly to make sure I was breathing :-). She is a very intuitive therapist. I received a facial , again the aesthetician communicated with me the whole time making sure I was comfortable. Nina provided a mani and pedi that were awesome. I received a gift certificate here and was so excited because I had my eye on this spa. When I called to make my appointment it was such a headache. They couldn't find my gift certificate and claimed I didn't have one. The front desk staff called my phone maybe 10 times in one evening for spelling of my name, who bought the gift certificate etc. After much confusion on there end I FINALLY made an appointment. The day of my appointment (3 hours before) they called and tried to cancel. It ended up being a HUGE production again and finally they had an on call therapist come in to do my massage. I walked in there with a bad taste in my mouth but I will admit that the massage was good and I didn't leave as annoyed. UNTIL.....I tried to make another appointment. They had this steam therapy I was interested in, so I called and made an appointment. I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and give them another chance. Same thing happened. Day of, three hours before I get a call cancelling my appointment. I had a gift certificate still and was at the point that I didn't even want to go there. I was furious at their lack of organization, nonprofessionalism and no concern for my time. I wanted the gift certificate to be refunded to the purchaser. I never wanted to deal with them again. Once again trying to get a refund was a huge fiasco and numerous calls back and forth. The manager actually got snippy and rude with me and couldn't understand why I didn't want to come back. I felt like I was in the twilight zone dealing with these people. After much frustration they were finally going to grant me the refund ($95-$100 balance on my account). Took my credit card number and everything, told me it was refunded. 21/2 weeks later and STILL NO REFUND. I politely called and explained to the NEW manager what happened (the old one was fired/quit). She said she would call me back and figure it all out, and once again, nothing. I'm disgusted that they think its okay to treat people like this. I would never want to support a business that blatantly lies to customers. People don't understand how import it is to have an assertive front desk staff (and employees that don't call out). I've been waiting to write this review because I was hoping they would refund my card (FOR A SERVICE I NEVER USED) and make it right, but they chose to be greedy and rude people. Thought i would write a review to give our experience as it clearly was not as Alicia T. stated for us!! My husband Shawn & I went in for a couples massage after purchasing a groupon. My husband had a massage from Laura & I had another women( i forget her name) with an accent....she was very good. My husband prefers more of a deep massage & myself somewhat more of a relaxing one. That is exactly what we got!! We were also very pleased with cleanliness, service & friendly staff. We actually bought a gift certificate for a future massage & totally plan on recommending Karma 7 to our friends. (actually, we already have) Also, when we were there, I spoke to a few girls that had just had the hydro- trio and they just LOVED it! I cant wait to have one done myself.
