Friday, Saturday and Sunday $16.99 lunch (11-2:30p) buffet is the best price in Ventura County. Located in Janss Marketplace where Regal theater and plenty of retailers are located so there is plenty of parking available. I have been dining here for at least a decade. Traditional north Punjabi village style cuisine. Decor is also gorgeous to look at. Beautiful ornate decorations and paintings of India on the walls. I come here for dinner mostly. The taste of the food is exceptional. I always look forward to the delicious naan with dipping sauce. Chicken tikka (marinated boneless with garlic sauce) has the most softest meat with the correct ingredients used. Tandoori fish (boneless tandoor flavor with onions) is another favorite. Lots of tasty vegetarian meals too like the saffron rice and paneer tikka cottage cheese is a must order. Everything comes out pipping hot where servers wear a spiffy uniform. Feels like the great white glove service. Portions are huge so be prepared to take some home. Don't forget to order some wine with this yummy meal. Appreciate you for serving the community.

One of the cleanest most beautiful restaurants I've ever sat in. I ordered Fish Madrasi mild to medium heat. Also ordered Paratha, Raita, Indian Iced Tea, Gulab Jamon and Malai Kulfi. Everything was delicious. The gentlemen working there are very polite and handsome. There is a lunch Buffett option as well. I'd like to come back and try more things. Organic spices used. Papadum was not my favorite but my family loved their samosas, butter chicken, and tandoori half chicken. Gulab Jamon came out warm. Amazing desserts.

Great food, atmosphere, and service. The staff were very accomodating and due to our party of 6, they were very patient when we were choosing which dishes to order. As a group of 6, we ordered: sakosa chaat, aloo tikki, shahi paneer, yellow daal, aloo mater, khoya paneer, and chicken korma with garlic, bullet, and onion naans. In addition, my group also ordered mango lassi and salty lassi. Everyone enjoyed the dishes and left with happy tummies. Definitely recommend coming here!

Many outstanding plant-based options in the weekend buffet!

This is the highest quality, authentic Indian cuisine offered anywhere. Even the buffet is high quality, high caliber, and high vibrational. The ingredients - the veggies and even the spices - are fresh and bursting with flavor ... but not too much spice and flavor. It isn't salty. It's extremely satisfying. When one notices the decor, the cuisine and the warm service, one has no doubt whatsoever that the hands that serve and prepare the food are guided by hearts full of LOVE. That's it in a nutshell. This food tastes like LOVE.

Absolutely insane. Butter chicken is SO good!

SOOOOO GOOODDDDD! I did the buffet which included unlimited naan, butter Chicken, tikka masala, and a bunch more. There are "chef specials" included in the buffet as well. The price is great considering it's unlimited. Quick question, when is the buffet days? And how much does the buffet price cost again?

My family and I have a deep appreciation for Indian cuisine, and Karma in Thousand Oaks is one of my preferred Indian food establishments. Today I noticed that they offer an ALL YOU CAN EAT Lunch Buffet promotion (Friday-Saturday and Sunday) for $16.99. Please note that this offer was introduced three months ago, so it is advisable to call ahead to confirm its validity. The ambiance is serene and the small restaurant is consistently maintained in a clean condition.

I just received this and it's only 1/2 full

Karma Indian Cuisine Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Karma Indian Cuisine

    Is there a lunch buffet?

Yes on weekends ( Friday through Sunday)

Do you still have buffet and the price?

Not that I've seen since COVID. Their meals are generally well-priced for the quality and quantity of food. And the owners are incredibly wonderful human beings.

Any plans to bring back the lunch buffet?

    Patience

I saw a sign today about a lunch special. What is the lunch special?

Their website has loads of info about all of the things on the menu just head to their website or search lunch special at Karma Indian Cuisine

I saw someone post 6months ago that the lunch buffet is back. What are the days and hours for the lunch Buffet?

No sir, We are not serving buffet right now.

    Are pets allowed?

I believe no! They may be allowed in the patio if they are still serving there but not inside afaik! Check with Bobby (the owner), he is a great guy & will keep it straight!!

My husband has a nut allergy, and is extremely allergic to cashews. Is the chicken tikka masala made with nuts?

Their tikka masala is very good! Some hotels add cashews for consistency but based on what i know about Karma, they DONT use any nuts in their tikka masala (or for that matter any of their other sauces)!

Is the LUNCH buffet back yet?

    No sir sorry

    Buffet back soon?

Ventura County Health Department has not allowed buffets yet. Unfortunately, we are in a holding pattern. (I can't wait, either!)

Will you resume/reinstate your lunch buffet now?

they still are in the process of confirming its ok, and getting it back on the menus probably, be patient

Do i have to go through Postmates to order pickup? The vegetarian dinner isn't listed and the dishes are $3-$4 more than on the menu?

No, just call them, order, and pay at pickup.

Is the buffet still open these days? Will it come back?

No any more I don’t know about the future but right now we cannot do that

Do they offer to-go option for lunch buffet?

The all you can eat buffet has no to go option, but they do offer a full lunch menu that you can order to go.

    Does this restaurant serve halal?

    Yes we do

Is the buffet open during dinner or just lunch?

Only lunch but wish they had the buffet at dinner too.

Not on the dinner menu, nor on weekends. Secondly, the food tastes bland & overcooked. I'm used to being able to taste food & know what it is...not here. If they didn't paste labels above the shrimp, fried fish, etc..I'd have no idea what I was eating. Food was tasteless & generic. The fried (I'm guessing) crab was dried out, and Im talkint the NEW batch they brought out. The shrimp dishes were bland...and the "fried rice" tasted like regular white rice that had simply dressed up as fried rice for Halloween! The nail in the coffin tho, was my waiter Tony. He obviously ASSumed that people of a certain race don't tip...because he attended promptly to 4 other tables in his section, but steadfastly ignored me! I had to get the hostess to summon him for me each time I needed something. That's disheartening considering the fact that I routinely OVERTIP, just to try & dispell that stereotype. This place used to be PACKED, folks actually had to wait in line for an open table. But that was back when you actually got your money's worth. Unfortunately those days are longggg gone. $26 for all you can eat seafood garbage. I should've bought a box of frozen fish sticks & called it a day. At least I'd have gotten my money's worth! Avoid this place as though it were radioactive!!

West of Orleans is the real deal; an institution that meets, excels, devastates all notions of what Cajun/Creole/BBQ cuisine can or should accomplish to stand out amongst the rest of the competition. With a menu as expansive as most, West of Orleans manages to offer their patrons all of the classics seen with most other restaurants of the same variety, but with so much more... But onto the food. It's true to its word. Fresh, delicate, light, harmonious in every sense of the word. Flavorful beyond flavor. The PoBoy was delicious, as the shrimp popped, the remoulade sauce incredible, tangy and sweet but not overpowering. The Jerk Chicken Mac-n-Cheese was the perfect pair between savory and succulence. Marcus gave us samples of the chicken gumbo and from the moment it touched my tongue, I was sold. I got a 32 ounce Gumbo and let me tell you, it was plenty. Everything was perfectly seasoned and packed full with some much pride and flavor. You could tell Marcus and his wife are passionate about their business and the product they're putting out. In addition to the chicken gumbo, I got the cornbread with the honey butter. Let me tell you something, I must've died and went to heaven. My son really loves their beef brisket. My favorite bbq dishes are wine pork belly, beef short plate, beef short rib and shrimp. Their small dishes are really good too. On a not too warm day I'd like to finish the meal with a soup, either soon tofu or the miso soup. The restaurant is a good size. It's clean and organized. During summer time, it's going to feel a bit warm inside due to the heat of the grills, regardless of how much ac is used. My suggestion is to drink plenty of cold water which the restaurant does provide happily. Service is usually fast. They will come around to change the grill plate, and take in the new order.
