Karma Theory is a brand new tattoo shop in Dover right next to Cowboy Up bar that replaced an older tattoo shop. This has to be the nicest looking and cleanest tattoo shop I have ever been in. Dark wood floors with light grey walls and red hanging lights with a large red leather couch are the first bits of ambience that sets the stage for your visit. Each booth has its own tv for you to watch while the artists work on you with even a bar for visitors to sit at and hang out while work is done. Attention to detail is all over, just like the work that is done by the artists. Paul Todd is one of the artists and owners and is know for great pieces being featured on the web and at conventions around the U.S. Amazing work, fun attitude and someone you will love to come back to over and over again. For the adventurous types, ask him about skydiving and you will be signing up to go on your first jump before your work has healed. There are so many places to choose from in Dover, but I would go to a clean place that is fun to hang out in and where you get amazing work done. My fiance surprised me with my first tattoo. We were coming in from out of town and on short notice, they were able to set me up with Austin. I was pretty nervous, but from the second I walked it, I felt at ease. The place is very clean and you can tell they care about their business. Austin immediately started working with me to make sure the design I had in mind was exactly what I was going to get. He presented me with multiple options and then took the time to make sure everything was sanitized and prepared for the session. The atmosphere is just awesome. Exceptional customer service from the get go, accommodations for payment options and booking were awesome and easy. The shop is decidedly the cleanest I've ever set foot in and well decorated at that, and the sterilization/safety practices are exemplary. I was working with Jeremy for the piece I booked. He made any and all adjustments to perfect the design, was completely focused on his work, worked impressively quickly, kept me comfortable and my friends engaged in conversation. I called asking if they could fit a walk-in, and they said yes. I showed up with a basic idea in my head and Kramer turned it into a one of a kind piece. I will post pictures in a couple weeks when he gets the chance to finish. Kramer is a great artist with a light hand and an impeccable taste for design. He doubted himself a bit so kept checking with the more knowledgeable artists which is another reason I thought he was so great. He is an Ink Master in the making and the entire vibe at this store is amazing. Was looking for a place to touch up my 24 year old tattoo and add to it. I researched online and found Karma Theory. After reading the reviews I stopped in. I was introduced to Art. This was my very first tattoo and my nephew took me in because I wanted to get a tattoo for my brother who had just passed away. T set me up with Austin and I have to say it was a great experience. Went in to get my tattoo added onto and it looks absolutely amazing! I had to call first since I was stuck in traffic and the artist E was so nice about it. Coming into the building it was nice and welcoming, I heard all the artist communicating with their clients and I only had to wait not even 5 minutes to be seen! Went in via walk in however I would advise having an appointment. Thankfully my artist Kramer had an opening to slot me in. Great shop, great artist and solid workmanship.
